this films looking pretty decent but the new costume just doesnt look right, and i dont like the old one just because it reminds me of that annoying Toby Maguire

I also didn't care for Hot Toys or Medicom's versions of the movie suits. They just don't look right, for some reason.

Nope, I think Garfield makes a much better Peter Parker as well. I think he has the look and vibe of ol' Petey from what I've seen so far (and I've naughtily watched every bit of footage they've released... lol). I think people are going to be very surprised with this film, I'm expecting great things.

Hi guys.. Just joining the HT craze here.. LOL

Personally I love Tobey's Spidey and the 2 figures that Hot Toys has done is a permanent fixture on my shelf. But I think the series has run its course and it's time for something new..

Andrew Garfield is a good actor, IMO. I liked him in everything I've seen him in so looking forward to what he can do with the role so many people identified with Tobey.. As for the figure.. It's a definite purchase for me. I only collect Marvel line of Hot Toys so this one's a must..

Honestly, i've never been a huge Spidey fan, i do like thenew guy playing Spidey and that his banter is a lot better than Toby who always felt like a grumpy a**. I like parts of this outfit, the wrists, soles and waist area are the main points that i think look bad. This suit would look sick in all Black with Grey highlights tho. I'll enjoy the movie for what it is but doubt i'll be buying the figure (i say that now, but it could change )

Run its course or not I would like to have seen a few more bad guys make the figure list. New Goblin would have been dead last on that list, Green Goblin, Doc Oc, Venom and even Sandman up for grabs and we get James Franco.
Admitedly I hated the new Spidey suit at first and it still does look like a mess in certain spots but I've really come around to it and cant wait to see how he looks in HT form.

I bet a web cartridge belt will come to complete the look, in ASM II? It would add a red line of symmetry to his mid-section which I think is throwing things off a little.

Yup, he has a belt in the ASM video game, and it's red. It sure would be nice if Hot Toys included this.. but you know they won't. Hopefully it does show up in ASM2.

Yep in the game. Also from interviews with the game developers, they state the game take places after the movie, so maybe this is a suit upgrade made by Peter after the events in the movie (maybe like to stop running out of web to often?)
