Yeah I think it helps a lot, and brings it much closer to the comic look. I don't mind him without, both looks are nice. It probably wouldn't be impossible to customize one, but meh.. what a hassle, especially to match it to the blue material of the costume.

I only worry about it being in the next movie because this game has been in development for a couple of years. Seeing as Sony already has ASM2 penciled in I want to believe they have been thinking really far ahead, but for all we know the belt could have been a dropped concept? Sorry, I over analyze things.

Certainly, I'll take anything if it means a belt for the Hot Toys figure. I wonder if it's too late to bombard Hot Toys with requests for them to make a belt.. lol.

This suit would look sick in all Black with Grey highlights tho.

This is what I'm thinking as well.

I wanted the HT black Tobey Spidey originally over the classic suit, but I flipped on that later because it's difficult for them to get that wet symbiote look translated into a fabric suit.. & they just made the red/blue suit black in the end - except for the nuances like the symbol etc.

This new suit has that rubbery texture, so it in black would be sensational.

That said - this new teaser looks like a fabric suit as well, so..

I hope if Sony attempts the black suit again they do it right this time. It shouldn't have spider webs, and it should at least look like it's liquid, or at least alien in nature. Not that a "black" version of the regular design is bad, it was just such a let down for me. So I hope if they revisit it they treat it better. I love what they did with the r/b costume so I have faith.

..and Venom better have some muscle on him while he's "Venom" at least.

I like the sneakers, they're practical and logical. Plus they're not really sneakers, so much as boots with shock absorbent soles and made from athletic material.

You guys might wanna get used to it, lol, if things continue like they are you might see Spidey in the next Avengers movie. They wanted to get Oscorp in the first movie but didn't have the time. So that means.. a whooole lotta Garfield Spidey.

I hope so. I would prefer just a cameo, nothing major. I think Spider-Man already looks like he fits with the Avengers and the world Marvel Studios has created. I'm sure Sony is interested in something like this going forward, and Disney would be silly to turn it down as well since Spider-Man is really Marvel flagship character.

Run its course or not I would like to have seen a few more bad guys make the figure list. New Goblin would have been dead last on that list, Green Goblin, Doc Oc, Venom and even Sandman up for grabs and we get James Franco.
Admitedly I hated the new Spidey suit at first and it still does look like a mess in certain spots but I've really come around to it and cant wait to see how he looks in HT form.

Seems to me they only had the rights for SM3, so GG and DOck were off the list.
