Penguin is the priority for me from the Returns line.

How would HT do Penguin? I don't think they've ever done a fat character before. Would it be a new 1/6 body or would they just add a 'fat suit' to a standard body?

Well it certainly wouldn't be a standard body. It'll be a smaller/shorter framed body with a fat suit.

I have huge expectations with the Batman Returns Batman figure. This could be an expensive piece if Hot Toys includes as much gimmick that appeared in the movie as possible: Bat gliders, computerized batarang, new zipline launcher, alternate Bruce Wayne head. etc.

Plus the little remote control that releases the penguin commando rockets.

I love the ending of this movie. From the bat-sub to when Batman flies down "Shut up you're going to jail" to the ripped cowl to "All good girls go to heaven" to the taser kiss to the penguin ceremony. I love it!

My first though as well.

It can never break or go cross eyed unless you do that manually.

Essentially, it would only look derpy if you made it that way.

Dude, I've been saying this for like two years. Its the same system EB had in their old Bruce Lee figures. I said it was superior than the PERS. I even got some hate for it too. Can't remember which thread. But yeah, its better for the reasons you said, no more off centered eyes and it would be easier to fix if something broke.

I have some pics of it but unfortunately all of them are really dark.

Screw the figure. I want that.

I have a funny feeling that HT will want to maximize on their new "Penguin" body. Meaning that we may not get the ultimate Penguin stand alone figure but a cemetery, mayor etc versions. And sprinkle each with different accessories.

For me I think the mayor version (helicopter umbrella) is my favorite.

I'm actually considering multiple BR Keatons. One for the batmobile cockpit and one for either outside or full glider stance.

I'd rather see a couple versions of Catwoman before multiple Penguin figures. Do one of her in the regular costume and one battle damaged or if Hot Toys would be so kind and give us the Luke Skywalker DX07 treatment and include two figures in one DX package. Plus really I don't think DeVito's Penguin has the mass appeal of Nicholson's Joker to be able to sell two figures. I think it would be better suited to just give an extra outfit in with the main figure along with a couple different umbrellas and whatnot.

Shxt, I hate rooted hair but the penguin figure will probably make more sese with rooted hair and it might be my only exception besides Catwoman

Here is my thoughts….

You can save all that you want but your savings will not be at par with the price when finally released.
Example: I have saved for these figures "Circa Jan 2012" when they were announced (so $220 based on 89 Batman). I would be very surprised if Returns figures will sell at this price now.

Although Devito was brilliant in the role - that figure would just be way too creepy to have in my house.

I'd imagine him grunting at me & wanting to bite me every time I'd walk past it.
