oh jeez, there is no comparison. pfieffer was not only a major character in the movie but was well acted, well thought out, extremely iconic and just plain awesome in every way while still being very sexy. Hathaway was awful, lookswise shes average and her character was boooring, aloing with the suit. they never even called her catwoman, cmon!

I have to go 100% in line with your opening statement re Michelle's part/character development, I think we should agree to disagree on the Anne Hathaway section of your post.

If you think about it, Michelle's character is given the most fleshing out of all the characters on screen in BR. We see who she was, we see what happens to her, we see what is done to her and we see what it makes her become. None of the other characters have that degree of development in the film. I'd say that this (and how Michelle actually plays it out on screen) is just one of the elements that really cemented her character so strongly into people minds and affections.

As to Anne Hathaway, I know beauty is subjective to each individual person etc etc and you personally do not rate her - clearly - but she has the biggest deepest lovely dark eyes of anyone I have ever seen.

It is a little harder to judge her performance though because, as Leon said...she did well with what was given to her to do, but it was a two-dimensionally written role, nor did she have too much say in the costume design I'd guess.

And they only ever got as far a poster calling her 'The Cat' somewhere in the city (I forget where)

^^^ agree with above. See AH is more on the sexy side, you dont have to be perfectly "featured" to be sexy. I think in some shots, like the "oops" shot in the beginning where in she completely turns her attitude was remarkable. Her acting skills can also be seen well and dark in the party scene "storm is coming" and lastly i think that fat *** looks awesome in the scene when she takes over the batpod ;) very womanly and hot.

So, let's face it - she was not the conventional catwoman, she did good with what she got as a role and she brought in her own "oomph"

As for MF... I mean catwoman or no, that costume or regular skirts, that woman is so pretty ... Feature by feature ... So its really not that her catwoman role was good (not saying it was bad) but even if it was... She would still "look awesome" it's just so easy when you have those features. .. And leather / latex on top...it oozes sexy...

completely agree with you guys! Also the two characters were very different, AH was more in line with the character of the (current line) comic while Pfeiffer's was something else, something which I felt worked on so many different levels . Despite Nolan taking a more realistic take on Batman, by the end of his trilogy I felt it was somehow less realistic than Burton's films in some ways.

For example, the way that Selina was treated, and how she flipped out and turned seemed completely reasonable to me. Strutting around in tight pvc stealing **** was a way to finally let all that repression out. However, Anne's character worked to a point in DKR, but then by the end of the film she was wearing this (uninspired) outfit all the time and it just came across as kinda odd to me, I mean, she did not assign herself as a superhero and was not crazy in anyway so had no reason to wear this outfit all the time.

Did anyone else get that at the end of DKR? That after all this build up to make the most realistic Batman ever it all felt a bit silly at the end?

Thanks for all the kind words guys!!!

I can never have enough love for Returns, I just finished this custom to go with my regular penguin:

Cool! glad it was ok to post. I had not seen them before and they are amazing!!! I'm not really into custom stuff, but I just thought these were fantastic!!

Yeah man amazing skills on those returns pieces. I duno what your doing for a career but you can def make a switch. Lol

Wow, such amazing work... we could all hope to get such traditionally issued figured as nice as that. But I guess that's why there is such admiration for customs. Can't wait for pics. .

thanks man :) I am actually a toy sculptor and do all this (returns stuff) in my spare time

That Catwoman will probably go down being better than the Hot Toys version.

I watched Returns again last night, and I seem to have a newfound appreciation for it, as a film. It's got a lot of quirkyness to it, but, to be completely honest, it was like I was watching it for the first time, as I didn't remember a lot of the stuff I saw there. It really is heavy on the innuendo, but, honestly, I think that's part of its charm. It's really unlike anything you've ever seen before.

Suffice it to say, I really hope HT hurries up and shows these.
