Being that the dx 08 and 09 are two of their nicest figs the wait for these has been horrible.:gah:

It is kind of hard for me to understand how these have not happened yet. The DX 08 and DX 09 were, arguably, two of their most mass produced figures, and you can't find them anywhere, anymore (they're reasonably priced on the secondary market, but, nevertheless, HT's stock sold out). Particularly with that awesome Batmobile, it seems lik a wasted opportunity on Howard's part. These could've been big sellers.

I'm pretty sure Sallah made it. Could be wrong though.

Yup, that was me. :) Here was the "announcement" I posted with it-

Marvel’s Iron Man 3 is coming to town this month and Hot Toys is proud to present the 1/6th scale Batman Returns Figurines as inspired by the Iron Man 3 movie for the MMS Diecast Series!

Leading the MMS Diecast Series is the iconic Iron Man 3 Series, in which the collectible figures are made of diecast material, specially designed to look more closely to the realistic Batman Returns characters had they appeared as Iron Man characters in the movie. The MMS Diecast Series will bring fans to the next level of authenticity, focusing on the materials, fine details and engineering of the Iron Man collectible figures, while some of the parts can be shared between our MMS and Diorama Series for displaying together in 1/6th scale. More collectibles from Iron Man 3 (Batman Returns Version) will be coming from the MMS Diecast Series!

The almost movie-accurate Batman, Penguin, and Catwoman Collectible Figurines are highly detailed and fully deployed, specially crafted based on the images of Michael Keaton, Danny DeVito, and Michelle Pfeiffer in the movie (had Batman Returns been an Iron Man movie), highlighting the highly detailed head sculpt, metallic well equipped armor, light-up functions, and imagined scale!

Hong Kong fans can visit Hot Toy’s Hong Kong Official Store – Toy Hunters to pre-order on May 5-6, 2013 for VIP customers, and May 7, 2013 onwards for VIP and non-VIP customers.

Instead of The Bat, The Cat and the Penguin with a spread out release date we got the Bat, The Bruce and the Butler in one luscious gift package,

It'll happen someday, DiFabio. Just be patient; I've learned through the Arkham thread that there's no point in stressing over toys. It'll happen when it happens, and, in the mean time, we can just sit back and relax.

As for that set, I must admit, I'm pleasantly surprised by that Batman. I knew they'd release an improved one, but I had no idea that the turn around time would be that quick.:lol

No, this and Arkham have been canned, you have to come to turns with that.

I bet we see,

- DX 3.0 Joker

- Lt. Gordon, Batsignal, Begins Batman

- Blake, TDKR Armory Cage, TDKR Bruce Batman

Before Returns and Arkham. You know it's true. This Batman is the only Batman that sells.

I was really hoping they'd announce these as the new DXs before the new year. I still have hope! Lol but it'll most likely not and I'll be anticipating them again next year around this time...

I think you mean "terms." With that being said, we know you're right about Joker, but, honestly, I'd love that second one if they did a really great job on the Begins version and made an updated Harvey Dent, to boot.

I still think we'll see both those respective licenses get their due, at some point. I just chalk this up to Mr. Chan saying "holy ****; we've got to milk that one dry before the hype train turns to Batfleck in a year."

Precisely- that is what is happening... DX12 and 11 outsold 08 & 09 by far. HT follows the cash cow:panic:

Yeah, I did mean terms. I don't know how I managed that. I'm on my iPhone. :lol

And yeah, can't forget about Batman vs. Superman that's right around the corner. Forget about Returns and Arkham.

You're lucky the 60s stuff got to see the light of day.
