Hot Toys Announce "The Expendables 2" License!

One of their recent interviews said that they had some more figures lined up for the license and they held off on Statham and Li since the sequel was announced pretty quickly. (don't know if they're just feeding us a line)

Still I was hoping to see a peek at any other Expendable Character. Like I've mentioned in other threads, I feel like this year's HT's presentation was seriously lacking.

I thought this may have been the case, hope so. Id love a few more figures this time round. If they just do Barney it's a pass.

Who knows with HTs. We won't know until we get a look at some figures.

Either they're cheaping out and reusing the old head for some stupid reason, or they opted to show off all the costume and accessory work ahead of finishing the portrait, but I can't figure why they couldn't have had the head finished in time, especially since Sly's look has been public for a long time.

Same reason they haven't shown Garfields Spider-Man yet i guess.

Overall i love this, the vest looks to fit like adream compares to the toyish look of the first one, and it comes with two outift

As a casual fit from the film, this one sure beats the "photographer" from the previous release.

While this probably won't fit in with everything else coming out soon that I have funds set aside for, I wouldn't mind picking this up.

If they did a Jason Statham though I'd pick that up for sure and some extra HS. The man has the same look in EVERY film. Could do some cool bashes.

Also...probably been discussed earlier but for those that didn't know (and maybe I'm the only one ):

Stallone has released an extended directors cuts of The Expendables. Its longer and edited differently, with alternate takes and differing soundtrack. Just got it on blu-ray and its MUCH better than the theatrical version.

It's better for sure as far as figures, HT really half-assed the casual costume from the first film, getting the green wrong on his shirt, giving him some crappy looking jeans. As far as figure outfits go, this just looks great.

I am curious to see how the action unfolds, I have 2 of the first Barney to have both looks because I love the fighting he did in his casual outfit, I'm eager to see what sort of action he gets into with this one.

From film pics so far, looks like he probably doesn't wear the vest long.

Looks like the long sleeve black shirt is from this scene and probably a way to avoid giving the figure the tats again.
