Same with the turds on facebook saying the Green Lantern figure shouldn't be made cos they didn't like the film, they don't consider those who want the figure at all.

They're not buying it so it's not afecting them in the slightest, but wish to ruin it for others.

Pretty sure there will be "turds" hating on any release. Look at how many of us on SSF "hated" on the "Friend" figure because overall, this group doesn't care about it. Myself, I just ignore the ones I'm not interested in and don't cause any grief or bother talking shi_t on the threads of figures that I don't care. But trolls will do what trolls do.

I'm not really following the thread too closely, but add me to the camp that dislikes this piece. It was an interesting idea, but a very poor final design. This thing just looks ugly, and not in a good way.

Maybe they (HT) take the phrase "you're one ugly motherf..." to the letter and forget there's "beautifully ugly" and "fugly". Just kidding... although I don't like it very much, I don't hate it and still find it interesting... but too expensive.

But isn't this based on a statue from an independent artist? So as far as staying true to the source material, they have done an exellent job.

So if at first you did not like the statue, you most likely wont like this either.

The costume, base, helmet/mask are great, my only nitpick from this would be that they have exagerrated the head appearance from the norm of the species.

Yeah, those bumps and lack of pattern in the skin, if fixed, might make the figure more appealing. Also, the front teeth could be just a tad smaller.

But overall, I like it enough to buy it. I just hope the swords in the back are removable, that way, the price might feel more reasonable. But I doubt it.

Wouldn't be so bad if it's head wasn't so deformed, and it's body didn't look unpainted.

Also, the body type just doesn't match a Predator..much more Human-like.

Not a big fan of the direction the artist took with the mouth area, but overall its pretty "different" and I'll admit is still one mean-looking bad ass. Also would like the dreads to be thicker/longer. I'm not familiar with the artist, what else is he known for?

Yeah, the mouth area looks like stolen from a horse. Don't get me wrong I love the idea of a Samurai Predator from Hot Toys because I love Samurais and Predators, but the head should at least look like one from a Predator more or less. The body painting is also pretty simple just one skin color and no spots or skin tones.

Would this appeal to you more if the Predator design utilized a "life-like" one similar to that of all the movie Predators that have been released so far?

And they keep the armor essentially the same in that regard.

Well at least Iron Monger and Jake are as big as a PF. This guy is only 14 inches.

I can understand why some people won't be happy with this piece. Its a fantasy piece that is far out of the predator Universe. Yeah it does not look like your typical predator, but a predator is a fictional character to begin with. Some of you act like they are real living aliens ( the universe is huge so maybe they are? ).

The fact is an artist can come along and make the look totally different than what we are used to. I think its a beautiful stand alone piece in its own right and should not be compared to really any other predator figure that Hot Toys has released. If you don't like it for the style, I can understand that also. The people going crazy over it not looking like a "normal" predator, is just crazy.

I think this piece looks great, but the price looks like murder. I don't know how long it'll take to come out so I pre-ordered it and now am going to set back and hope for a miracle that I’ll have the money to pay for it when it does.
