The head/face of the super preds was hot liquid crap. The redesign of the feet was equally ridiculous and unnecessary. Everything in between the liquid crap head and the ridiculous feet I could take or leave.

I fail to see how the more elongated classic head is crap. :dunno

It totally fit them.. More crazy, more brutal, more wild..

Super Preds look like crap too. :lol

Yes, that right! I think the forehead and the mandibles looked really stupid.:cuckoo: There's nothing better than the classic or something slightly differend.

The feet were the most stupid thing..., I mean a Predator with boots how stupid is that.

Do you mean "creepy little guys", or are you calling me "little"...?

Either way, here's a nice Hot Toys logo for you to masturbate to:

:wave

....okay? Not sure what that has to do with my Scorpions, or the Super Pred designs...

Oh, you added the "NECA" logo.

Never have unreasonably favored one company over the other, however, I do favor more accurate collectibles/figures over less accurate ones..and NECA happens to have insanely accurate sculpts.

A Predator with boots is stupid, but a Predator with sandals isn't?
Hrm, seems to be a nice discussion over the Super designs..

Then, oh, what is this?

Go play with your creepys little guy... :lol

Troll on... :wave
...couldn't have said it better myself.

I think the artist tried to incorporate the dragon creature with a preds head, that probably explains why he have the weird head design, the beard and horse-like teeth. He does look like a dragon in the photo MxBxM posted or maybe its just me?:dunno

I think it'd be cool to have Hot Toys and Narin do a collaboration on a pred figure. Narins designs are pretty cool. I hope it does open doors to other artist interpretations of the predators. I have mixed feelings on this samurai pred though. Parts of it look cool, and other parts are so so. I think his jaw, mouth seems more human than predator. Parts of the samurai armor are cool though. Anyway, thanks for putting together that narin video clip and thanks for sharing.

The thing I love about Narin's kits, though, is that they look like artistic interpretations of Predators, unlike the Samurai fig in question. Narin has a sense of realism to his preds. He could make a completely new design, even with the patterns on the head and body, and still make it look predator-like with its application and coloration. The armour, though is totally artistic, and I think that's the point of these interpretations. Armour is unique, body patterns are unique, but the whole look and feel, still feels like a Predator.

This Samurai Pred, as much as you want to call the body-builder body artistic, at the end of the day it's just that, a humanoid, exaggerated, human-lookalike body. Nothing artistic about that.

I agree. :exactly: :goodpost:

Wow, the designs on those Narin's Preds are jaw dropping! :eek Love it! :yess: I really hope that one day, the next AC will be one of these Preds by Narin. With that said, I still like the overall design of this Samurai Pred, won't change that. :D

Thanks kairus for sharing that images. :wink1:

I get what you say, but this is a make believe extraterrestrial. I don't how 'realistic' it is supposed to be. If you reffer to the artist trying to keep the original concept of the first Pred created, It makes more sense to me.

And I agree the Super Pred faces suck. Hot Toys kind of fixed it in the figure somewhat by not being 100% accuurate. The boots I don't mind and a difference in the usual sandals they wear is ok. They are a digferent type of Preds after all.

And this is where I wanted to get to. Just like we have different races on earth, I always imagined that the Preds should be given a similar treatment somehow. The comics have introduced different clans, the Predators movie showed a different 'race' and now this could be a different one as well.

At the end of the day, I just want figure that looks cool to me. It's not like people will be always carrying pictures of the figures I have and inspect them from head to toe saying 'wow, that is the most innacurte figure ever, this line should be .005mm instead of .0055'.

All the people that have seen my collection instantly recognize the characters aand are impressed by the detail.
