Because they have no access to the actor's likeness
Are you serious?... Sully in his Avatar is not exactly Sam Worthington's mug...
He's not so big afterall... Oh well.

Yes, I am.Are you serious?
And the point is?Sully in his Avatar is not exactly Sam Worthington's mug...
Sorry it's just that every time a figure is released we see the same patterns... panic, nit-picking, photoshopped "improvements" and when people finally get the figures, all is good...
Looks blah to me- very toy-like- just don't see the "extra HT effort" put into this. It's nice but not $300 nice. Was on the pass side but told myself if this was really incredible I would buy it...now that I've seen in hand pics...meh. Easy pass till it goes on clearance for $200....
There's something very toyish about this figure.
I know a tall nude blue alien is tough to do but still... I like the real feathers, but the waist belt, straps, knife sheath, all of it looks like plastic. Even the "ponytail" looks a bit like Barbie.
Yes, I am.

Depends on how you see it. Someone could see what I said as "panic" and "nit-picking" when all I am doing is just talking. In my opinion, that's what the forum's for. To talk, discuss and state your thoughts and opinions about things. I don't like it when people on this forum complain about the people who makes criticism of these figures/statues. Should everyone just put a happy smile on their face, lie all the time and just praise the product?
Yeah- Mattel-like..not lofty quality of HT........
You mentioned they don't have access to the actor's likeness according to you... and it really doesn't matter since the character in the movie doesn't have the actor's likeness either... just a small resemblance
Nah, I'm just saying that people shouldn't pass judgment based solely on pictures... if you have it in hand and still find it "toy-ish" or saying that an Iron Man figure has more "value" than this guy is completely missing the point. I'm not directing my comments to you, but to some people here that are just waaay to spoiled and hyperbolic with their statements!
Right...
