I read that, too. I still wouldn't assume that meant a fricking floating Veronica. Anyone that thinks this is a little knick-knack that HT would throw in for free isn't being very realistic (nicest way I can put it).

I've got to be honest. I think they will sell VERY few of these. If it isn't a throw-in, they might as well not release it. I think they lose money trying to sell them.

C'mon, WTF would you know about it? If HT has done their research, it'll do fine. Presumably it will be a small run. They have to assume only HB buyers will be interested and only a percentage, so the price and run will reflect that.

Also, I'm not sure why people are making a big deal about "floating". It's just some friggen magnets. I know magnets aren't inexpensive, but it's not like this has a jet turbine or something!

Right, you find a way to make it balance and rotate, lol. Give me a break. Ugh, anyways, NVM. I'll just revert to "don't like it, don't buy it". Not worth arguing about.

My thoughts is that they went through the design process, prototype process, and then a production process. That cost money. If they can only sell a small run, how can they make it up? The only was I see is with MASSIVE sales margins. So I'd expect this to be VERY expensive if they plan to profit.

As opposed to giving it away? If they sold 1 it would be more profitable them selling zero. Or giving them all away. Sorry, just can't see how that works

If the design and production costs are equal...then giving it away means a total loss...not just of the production costs...but the raw material and product in a give away. If they put it up for sale they can control how many go out..plus the way their distrubution network is set up of a store wants to offer it for sale they have to commit to purchase a min order. So hot toys is covered.

And I wouldn't say just HB people would buy it. Anyone with a hulk may be interested. It's got as much a connetction to him. Either way...just giving it away is no where near the same as poor sales

Avengers junkies are as bad as SW. :lol It may end-up getting discounted (this is pretty niche) but I'll bet they'll sell enough at full price to make back their costs and a profit.

Yeah, and that, too. Seriously, I just would never expect an accessory like this to be free. Anymore than I'd expect an E-Web Cannon to come with a Snowtrooper. Fact is for the HB buyer that wants it all, this is an impressive accessory to have floating over its shoulder. Makes me glad I didn't order b/c I'd pick this up for sure.

Actually you're right.

I think some of us are just a bit bitter that this seems like a cash grab when we believed addition features were coming for our HBs. I ordered mine HB minutes after it went up. I am the target market for HB accessories. I won't pay for this unless it is $20 at most.

I remember watching the original film footage, that was great.

As for me, I would hand it by the ceiling fan while taping my iPhone to it, playing 80hrs worth of Tie-Fighter screeching from YouTube and have the flying in circles :rotfl

With HB guarding the front lawn from chickens :lol

Well you aren't wrong. Maybe they'll have more add on packs :dunno not included with HB

I agree. I think this should have been scrapped at the concept level. Just like the mini-Iron Mans (men?) coming with Tank.

I don't think people want this Veronica unless it is free with HB and I don't see it as a big selling point if it was included with the HB for free. If this was the EX free accessory, that would have made sense to me.

When HB first went up for order there was nothing stated it would come with anything else.

And this is not new. There's a set out where you can buy a set of hands and a head for iron man. As a company grows they have to continue to generate large sales numbers and larger margins. What works for a company in year 5 will bankrupt th in year 10. And so on. Is it the best deal for consumers, no. But the alternative is the company closes and we get nothing. Id rather have the option to pass on something then wish someone would make anything. Is it ideal? No. But until it's 2240 and Star Trek world comes around where money doesn't matter and people work for free and companies operate for free this is the way it is.

It doesn't really matter to me either way as I don't really care if I get one. I just don't care for how Hot Toys handled this. As many have said, Hot Toys isn't doing anything technically wrong.

One thing is clear, they are not gaining any customer goodwill with this item.

That may be true. But it got made. Not every idea is gonna work. At least they are trying. They hear things like space is an issue, and I wish I could afford th all, and I wish I could display them, and why not more stuff included...and they try something to address them. All in one thing actually. And the same people slam them for making something "stupid".

Mini versions of toys have always been a major seller in places like Tokyo and Hong Kong. Where space is at a premium. You ever been to Tokyo? There are so any people in such a small area. Most of my friends don't understand how cramped and large it is. It's bigger, population wise, then Chicago, la, New York, Detroit, Houston, Toronto combined. COMBINED! Lol nearly 40 million people in a city with less square footage them LA. And even if that wasn't an issue, it's nice to seem th try stuff.

Funny thing about that goodwill...doesn't matter what they do. People are gonna find fault.

And they have yet to actually say this will be seperate. Or that HB won't have other stuff.

I was gonna say the magnet gimmick just puts this at a $100+ on its own.

Veronica was seen in the trailer... The hammer arm wasn't that big of a spoiler... Still no clue. Maybe it comes with missiles it used to blow up the building [emoji38]
I don't think we saw Veronica in the trailer did we? I think it was first shown in the MTV sneak peak of the scene that I'm glad I didn't watch before the movie.
