This Thanos yanked Stormbreaker out of the air and shoved it in Thor’s chest. This Thanos broke Cap’s shield. This Thanos destroyed Avengers HQ. This Thanos spun his sword so fast it elimated a full power blast from Iron Man. This Thanos held the power stone and knocked Captain Marvel into next week.

This Thanos was amazing.

Yeah he was very savage in EndGame no doubt

Yeah, the MCU from here kind of seems anticlimactic to me. Especially for the current characters who are continuing beyond EG. Sure they’ll have their solo films with their own villains, but they built it up to be that Thanos with the Infinity Stones is the ultimate villain for everyone in the galaxy and the “final” battle. Nothing can top him.

I do think he’ll be known in time as one of film’s all time bad *** villains. A character that’ll be a must have in any collection.

I understand why but i really wish that art book was coming sooner then November.

I think they will come up with some cool stuff in the future. I'm not a comic book guy but The living Tribunal sounds cool and a lot tougher than Thanos.

I was holding out to get this version. ED Thanos still a bad *** but IW Thanos made me like the character more. Honestly I kinda hated how IW Thanos looked without the armor before IW was released, but it grew on me. He was real bad *** that he never needed the armor anymore.

Yep, definitely a classic pose. Also rubber arm friendly too :lol

I was all in for the IW version, and can totally understand why many still want him. But I did a full 360 on this guy when I saw he would still be released with the Gauntlet (please do not change that HT !) and how awesome the armour looked.

That image and point in the film is just epic ! Definitely a figure which needs to be in any collection. Would love to know how many of both versions have been pre-ordered.

Going to see it one last time in the theatre next week before it's no longer showing in English.

Wow you totally just said it all there, I am in agreement!!!

Since I am a one version of each character type of collector I ordered this one (I will either sell my GOTG version or give it to my son). Although I think audiences got to “know” Thanos more in IW, I personally enjoyed the battles a little more in EG. Also because the EG armored version reminds me more of the Thanos I remember from the comics as a kid (even though in the movie the color scheme seems more gold and flat black rather than gold and blue).

I agree with gmoney on this!

I have two diecast figures and based upon their weight and overall feel they sure seem like more than 5% metal (although clearly less than 100%). Of course I can’t say for sure because I am merely a “low information” collector as Malgus says, however I DO KNOW that I love my Iron Man (CW) and War Machine (CW) and that is all that matters to me. I also think it’s crappy/rude to make value statements about people simply bk YOU (Malgus) disagree with what they like/value or how they choose to spend THEIR money

Yeah, definitely not 5% metal. First, by weight alone probably well over half. By piece, who knows. Most of the Diecast is in the legs, and shoulder/arm pieces.

But if you’re talking how best to create a figure to last, put almost all the weight in the legs and make the figure as stable as possible. HT has been nearly flawless with recent Iron Man releases. People pay for it because it’s Iron Man.

The characters I have multiples of are:

Cap (SSM, Rescue, TFA, SS, CW)
Black Widow (TWS, AoU)
Thor (T1, TDW LA, AoU, Gladiator)
Superman (MoS, BvS)
Wonder Woman (BvS, TA, JL [w/cloak to represent WW])
Batfleck (Armored, BvS, Knightmare)
Luke (ANH, DX07 Bespin [clean], RotJ, TFA, TLJ)
Leia (ANH, ESB Hoth)
Han Solo (ANH, TFA)
Rey (scavenger, RO, Jedi)

I think that’s it. :lol

I actually got this figure more with IW in mind than EG. I’m referring to the opening scene where he kicked both Thor’s and Hulk’s *** while he had on his armor wearing the Infinity Gauntlet.

Impressive SilverStar!!!

Which versions of Black Widow and Thor are your favorite and why?

I have Black Widow (CW) but had a hard time deciding between that version and AOU.

Thor was my favorite growing up, he was the first Hot Toys figure I purchased. I decided on the TDW (heavy armor) which was tough bk he looks great with the bare arms and when I collected comics he was portrayed with the bare arms (and yellow boots lol). Ultimately I guess I just think he looks more ready for business with the armor. As you see I lack some consistency in my collecting rationale/logic

I’ve had every version of Black Widow. You made the right call with the Civil War version. That is the best by far. Glad you didn’t go with AoU Widow.

I have AoU Thor, Gladiator Thor, and IW Thor. All are great for different reasons. Maybe you can get the IW Thor to display with the bare arms. That figure comes with newly developed arms as well.

I’m a person that also only gets one version of a character. Space and money dictate that. If a new version of a character that I already had came out and I really wanted it then I would sell the older model.

I really want this version of Thanos. The figure looks great from the shots, but he’s just way too expensive. I honestly don’t think I’d even want the Infinity War version because he looks so silly without the armor.

I am very happy with the CW Black Widow, but what is it that don’t like about the AOU version.

I may actually break my “one representative figure” rule and get an EG Thor if they make him.

I’m waiting so extremely anxious for a hot toys Thor from endgame with his long braided beard and long hair!!!!

What a bad *** figure that will be...they have to make him.....right?

He looks like a Viking god like that!! More like a Viking god rather than a suave Hollywood actor loosely based on a comic book hero that was based on a Viking god.

If only his hair was red and he had gauntlets and a giant belt...that would be very authentic.

You are right armored Thanos is pretty pricey. However I was afraid that if I passed him up I would really regret it and ultimately end up paying a lot more for him later.
Maybe it makes sense to think of it like this Thanos is the cost of two figures so maybe you would feel better about the purchase if you get him and just pass on a different figure you are now considering but is likely to have another version produced in the future.

Yeah the appearance you describe sounds a lot more like descriptions of Thor from Norse mythology and a figure like that would look badass.

However, after reading your comments it came to me that description also describes the appearance that Marvel Comics and the MCU has used for Borr (or Bor) Odin’s father.
