Maybe it’s just for this display but it appears to be AC powered.

I'd actually like something that was powered like that. I never use the lights on any of my Iron Man. Too much of a hassle to turn them on.

I hate battery rot and never put batteries in any of my figures. Having it be AC powered would be nice, especially for something like this, but sadly I'm sure this is just for display.

Huh, that's interesting. Maybe this is a powerpose static figure.

Reason why they do batteries not to piss collectors off but because it's near impossible to do A/C power with an articulated figure with removable joints and such. I mean it's possible, but to hit the price point and margins they want makes it impossible unless collectors are willing to pay even more.

Hot toys build their figures in little parts for cheap manufacturing and consistency. A/C power will require them to do the entire figure all together since rerouting electronics will not be the easiest task. Thit will drive production cost up by a lot!

So what is the deal Power pose or Figure ? If it is a figure it took them 2 years to bring us Hulk Buster 1 so we can expect what another 2 years for this ?

When I said (at the beginning of the thread) that I didn't think this was a figure, I didn't mean that I don't think HT will MAKE a figure - just that the one on display clearly is not a figure. The DC power plug is the other give away, because it wouldn't be realistic to have all the articulation, but light up features in the limbs, hands, etc.... Hope they make it a figure! (although I still wouldn't trade in the MK1 for it)...

I think it’s very realistic that the HB2.0 could have this articulation and all of the LEDs (battery powered), if they get rid of the figure inside feature.

maybe its just me, but in the pictures with the other figures around it, this doesn't seem as big as the original hulk buster, the Hulk Buster 1.0 is HUGE, nearly twice as tall as a regular figure, this just doesn't seem to be as big. Maybe its just the angles.

Just doing an eye test with the hot toys display and the life size display, I think it looks a little smaller and shorter too. Which could in turn ( fingers crossed ) make it cheaper

If you watched the ToysTV Live broadcast on YouTube, they said this was a Prototype "Statute". Meaning this was a Non-Articulated Prototype that plugged in. Because of that info, I am questioning wether this would be made. Just like the Tie-Fighter & Falcon, they have made bad *** prototypes for cons/reveals before.

I hate when they do that whatever they show should be either for sale or not I hate how they float it out there if it fails to come out shortly after the preview then its most likely not coming

Well that settles the speculation of what this thing is and why it's articulation is so much better vs V1.

If a figure is released lets hope HT puts articulation over the ability of inserting a figure. I'd be OK with a PP figure and single power source.
