Always curious as to why the Chopper blades were included with Celtic also. He never had or used them. The chopper blades were Chopper's trademark weapons. I mean it's in his name.

Just got an Ancient Predator today!!! He really has a significant presence in my display. Unfortunately, the tip of the spear broke off during shipping. Can someone tell me if the hand holding the spear with the alien head, is supposed to be glued together? That's pretty lame if it is since I don't want to have him in that pose, and it looks funny having a hand stuck to it if I leave it on the ground of the display. I could see why it would be glued though since the alien head weights a ton. Another thing I noticed was that there is a little crack in the right arm where the peg goes in. Probably from holding up the alien head. Anyone else have that problem?

Which Ancient Pred is it Furley? I have The Special version on its way to me as I liked his mask better than the Asia edition. The only AVP pred I need now is Scar. My collection will be complete once I get him.

Does anyone have odor issues with your preds? I ask this because I got a Celtic Predator off ebay that was said to be never assembled. The seller clearly identified that he used 2 of the hands for a custom project and the box was banged up and ripped at the top. This was fine. However, when I get the figure, the cannon was glued onto the armor already and the body and head smell like cigarette smoke to me. So does anyone know how to get odors out of figures?

Put the parts that smell in a plastic bag with a fabric softener sheet for about a 2 weeks. That is what I do when people forget to tell me that they smoke. Or I forget to ask.

On the smoke smell i had this on a custom i picked up. I put the whole fig in a large ziplock with one of thous bags of rocks for oders and spraied fabries on the fig. Let it sit for a couple days and its didnt smell anymore.

Yes the hand is glued to the spear from the factory. I don't see how the figure would hold it up if it wasn't.

I knew this would happen eventually -- a couple days ago, I saw that Alien head on spear accessory start at $100 on feeBay. Someone bidded. Didn't stick around to see the end, but either way, that's a pricey accessory.

You just have to balance it correctly. Mine has been in the exact same pose scince the day I got him.

Thanks for the confirmation. This is my first AVP Predator and I have got to say I can't see how anybody couldn't like these figures. I have him next to P1 and Berserker and he is easily much more impressive looking than both of them. The bad thing is now I want more of them!!!

As much as I love my Celtic Pred, I have to be honest, he looks fantastic and is a superb figure, but the paint apps on the armor, and just overall on the figure, clearly is not as good as the later predator releases (I guess thats a no brainer since AVP preds are actually "classics" released few years ago). My wife keeps telling me that the wolf predator is more "intricate" and that the Celtic looks cheap =/

The Wolf predator awesome and is very underrated because the movie he's from is less then great. But when I show people my pred collection a lot of them like him best believe it or not.

I think its a combination of Wolf having a more shiny look and feel to it. Both in terms of glossy paint on the body and more realistic paint on the armor, creating a weathered feel to it.

Oh and I mean, this is probably what someone unfamiliar with the figures would notice right away, hence concluding that the Celtic looks "fat and cheap"...lol...but I still love him

I should be getting Scar and Chopper soon from some members from here. I'll just be missing Celtic in my predator army (minus ancient and asia, don't really care about them) Hopefully I can post some pics once they arrive.

I would say the choice should just be between AVP, and AVPR (wolf) should be standalone. Hes the cheapest and also doesn't look anything like the AVP predators. So yah...get the Wolf, and choose between AVP (Chopper, Scar, Celtic, Ancient, AVP Elder)...

Haters can hate... but the AVP line will always be one of my favorites. Today was one of those impulsive picture-taking days when I shot my older figures and once again entered AVP madness .
