This thing is so cool!

And so it began...

I opened both, the one only to minimally check to make sure there werent issues but I got busy so I actually didnt get further than cutting the tape. I still need to make sure no scratches or anything are present

Right out of the box it's really an amazing piece even with the fact that you apply a few stickers and its lacking some cables and such. Really amazing. I was annoyed immediately, not at the car but when I unpacked and took the plastic off the top of it the "moisture packet" broke open and the little beads when all over including inside the frame of the car. I tried to carefully shake them out but after so long it seemed like a loosing battle. Not like Ill moving it around often to hear that stuff but if the occasion ever arises I'll have the coolest maraca on the block. Secondly, when I went to take the inside film off the windshield, the white tab broke so it was a PAIN to actually peel that off an not scratch the plastic. I tried my fingers, a toothpick, a fork, etc. Eventually I got it but boy was it annoying.

I lit it up with a DC adapter but wont have it fully hooked up until I get the courage to drill my tempered glass. At least Ive got that glow lighting under my display case!

What an awesome display man! Congrats to all of you who have already this beautiful piece.

Ha so I know the dangers of drilling tempered glass hence my comment about courage. I have successfully done it before, I've also had failures with it. I'm not in the mood to try right now due to lack of time and needing to cut another piece of plexi if it doesn't go well. But I will be trying regardless. Case cost 20 bucks... That's a worthwhile gamble for me on the chance that I have success in drilling tempered again

Ha yeah so I'm moving in about a year and until I have my final place set up I probably won't be attempting this. I've got too much going on to have to fix the tank if it does break and I at least want the delorean on display while I'm at my current location. It was a challenge enough to build this case with little time. But when I do drill... I'll throw a camera on it. That'll be entertaining either way

Charged bright and early this morning. Assuming it ships tonight I should have it Thursday! Went with the same table I have my tumbler on. I think that'll work great. I even have an outlet right in that area so I can utilize an AC adapter for the lights.

Looks like a great setup though it might benefit from being a bit higher and closer to eye level.

Finally, messaged them they charged me last payment told me shipping in 24hrs,checked order and states shipping soon...god feels like forever to get this thing out of the warehouse

It's definitely a little low but it will work ok for the time being. I definitely would like something a little closer to eye level but don't want to break the bank to do it right now. These tables are a whopping $30. :lol
