Hot Toys - Batman 1966 Live-action TV Series - Batmobile

I really want HT to release an Adam West Bats. I just sold my Keaton Bats gambling on this.

See Pixie, I don't get this. I mean, each to there own and all, and you have your personal reasons and that's just fine. I respect that, but as a major BATMAN fan...I could never do it.

I would just have to get them both. I have the Begins suit (HT, Medicom and DCD) I have the the TDK suit in DCD and DX02) and I have the '89 DX09. The thought of sacrificing anyone of those to get the '66 is anathema to me, but in particular the '89 on the grounds that it is such a tremendous figure!

There is a '66 BATMAN shaped hole in my BAT line up, yet to be filled. As for the Lewis Wilson and Robert Lowery version of him, I shall either have to commission a custom (after I win the lottery!) or just order custom heads and attempt them myself.

Well I never got the Nicholdon Joker, so 89Bats is kind of a stand a lone piece in my collection.. plus I have more of an emotional attachment to the Adam West... I mean, I was one of the guys who say the 89Bats photoshopped with a '66 color scheme and thought "I would rather have that one!".

Since this Batmobile makes an Adam West Batman almost a foregone conclusion, is it too much to hope for to get a HT Van Williams and Bruce Lee as Green Hornet and Kato?

I'm not sure what we'll be getting from Hot Toys, but i do know that Factory Entertainment will be doing a Green Hornet and Batman crossover figure.

That letter looks like it will be expensive for us, Lots of Bat items to be released as well as more 1/6 and some 1/4 predators too, wow.

The problem with that interview is that the questions are loaded with far too many variables to be of any real use, so it renders the answers (non-committal as they are to begin with) virtually useless.

"Are you going to do this and this and this?"

"Yes are going to do that soon"

I always wondered why they showed off the '66 Batmobile when we had no one to display in it ... Until now ... Barbie '66 Batman and Catwoman. But really, why green light that sculpt and show off something you had no intention of getting out for the next 2 to 3 years ... Oh wait, it's Hot Toys. Thank God Iron Man and the Avengers don't have some Marvel mobiles ... You imagine the delay that would cause?

They did greenlight 66 Batman stuff, not the Barbies. Howard Chan said they're going to show the West Batman figure at SDCC.

This license could drag on forever... If you think they're going to whip out the entire '66 Batman cast along with the Batmobile(been a year for '89 Batmobile from preorder to now) then you're blowing smoke up your own exhaust. Think about it... this is a niche following. This will always take the backseat to finishing the IM3 series and the MoS series of figs. Then you've got Thor: TDW and CA: TWS and ASM 2 coming up. You've got all the stuff they're still trying to catch up on, and you've got Avengers 2, MoS 2, and God bless 'em, the new Star Wars trilogy on the horizon. They may make an announcement on the lineup for '66 Bats... but it don't mean we'll see figs in hand. I loved the '66 Bats series and grew up on it. But HT is a global brand, and right now they're making their money off global IP's like all the tent-pole blockbusters. Sorry to be such a pessimist.
