I disagree . Unlike the tumbler which hot toys admitted was not a money making product because of the difficulty with production cost . This 66 Bat Mobile will sell out extremely fast . Just car and model collectors alone will see this and want it on there shelves . It's an iconic looking car .

Thats just like everyone said for the first time when batman and robin 66 first teaser. But look what happend ? Does dolorean sold out ? I extremely agree this very iconic batmobile, but its not gonna sell in asia maybe in us ot europe. But asia is the biggest market for hottoys. Compare they effort and time putting this into production is just a bad deal for them. I really hope they making this one though just for the sake people who got ht batman 66 including me

You could say the same with the robocop license but they made 4 figures and 2 ed209's sooooo :dunno

Simple answer is we do not know. It is the anniversary year so if it is not up for PO in the next 12 months then it might not happen. I am not a fan of the 66 Batman show, did not buy the figures but i might buy the car.

Been waiting for this Batmobile to come out since I saw it on display at the 2013 SDCC. :impatient:

I'd buy the whole 1966 set if it did. And I can only dream of a Cesar Romero Joker...

Totally agree with you. This car has been iconic for 50 years. Tumbler is not iconic like the 66 or even 89. I have both the tumbler and the 89. The 66 to many of us old timers and to some youn timers is THE batmobile.

If they release it and its sits unsold taking up space I wish there was a way to make the vocal people pay for the unsold stock.

Unfortunately, the way hot toys sees it is DK batman sales vs. 66 batman sales....- which could be wrong way of course, but marketing people see it that way..
HT has limited manufacturing capabilities and they have so many other to make atm.

Only way this will see the light is HT boss just demands this to be made personally regardless of profit.

Sometimes I think it would be better if they only announce stuff before it's set for a live order. How many of your guys bought both these 66 figures specifically for them to be with the car - but they probably got the bus home months ago!

I just wanted the car. love the 66 series for how lame it is. Grew up on it as a kid and now I can't get through a single episode without cringing. Batman and Robin's outfits are the most ridiculously stupid looking costumes of all time. All this horrid stuff attached to the series IMO and I still love it and want that car. Because when I watch the old shows and they jump in the Batmobile all the campy stuff washes away and I just think, "man that car rules!"

If HT makes that ridiculous life-size armored batman and not this car, I'm gonna be so pissed.

yeah ht has real strange priorities. No alien ripley, colonial marines, terminator endo or bttf2 marty, delorean part 2 or batmobile 66 yet we get a life size batman prop that almost next to noone is gonna buy...

Can't agree with you more. Stupid to announce things so far in advance and especially if not 100% sure it will be released. I started collecting 1/6 after seeing pics of 66.

Talk about messed up priorities and thinking about releasing something most collectors will not buy or even remotely being able to afford. Can't imagine production issues and shipping issues for this is less than the 66.

I wanna see all the guys who said a 1:6 Bat was too large and too complicated for HTs to ship...now we get this life-size sculpt. :huh

Crazy isn't it. We can't ship the bat, but a life size armored bats no problem. Makes the 66 look like a piece of cake to ship. Really scratching my head on this one. Hts just needs to stick with 1/6 imo.

"I fail to see what one has to do with the other. They are different licenses with different prerequisites, and HT is, after all, a business. They clearly saw a chance to profit off of the work they had already done on the life-size Batman for Toy Soul by mass producing it, and, at the end of the day, this movie that no one's even seen yet is clearly a much better seller than the '66 series. Plus, my sources tell me that they've run into problems with licensing, paint, the tires moving, George Barris' estate, Hot Wheels, Adam West, and William Dozier's great-grandson, but that they still intend to produce it, and we all should have it in hand by the show's 100th anniversary in 2066."

My guess is that everything's working fine, except for the fully functional 1/6 scale siren. That should be a QC nightmare. I am so glad they keep pushing this car back, since 3 years ago their methods of LED emplacement have changed a lot, I can imagine this car will be remotely operated like lights, sounds and maybe siren action. I don't expect a parachute, but it would be nice if it was there. Who knows though, this car had tons of features that might get cut, but if it does come out this year, now I need find a way to get the Tumbler, since I have the 1989 batmobile.
