Re: Hot Toys Batman 1989 NON-JOKER Discussion Thread

I'm off to look for leaked photos!

If anyone can hunt them down, Batty can. Then we can change this generic Thread title. :)

But I'm not sure we'll see any before tomorrow. Hope so!

Find them! FIND THEM! If anyone can, it is you!

I wonder who will be the first to take a pic of Bale vs Keaton BAT-off!

Sadly, I think those days of me finding first pics are long gone. Everyone started checking the same sites once they learned where I was getting them from. :lol

But it was cool finding stuff on Tommy's blog and other Asian sites before everyone else.

I cant wait to see the figure man! all these ideas are making me more excited :monkey1

I would love for HT to make the suit vault. That would make for a cool display piece.

Maybe they'll include a Wayne sculpt and tux ala DX Joker and cop suit. Just provide a base body and you're good to go.

just to warm you guys up :) (its a vinyl kit btw, its not HT :))

indeed, would be happy if HT comes near this sculpt of the body and head/mask, but I would suspect with their sculpters and skills it should be no problem :)

but besides the head/mask, there is the cape of course, I am very cursious to see how that works out in a posable 1/6 figure

Oh no, don't remind us....

There's still that potential issue, fixed ot not. Hope HT uses he 'good rubber' for us yanks.

Re: Hot Toys Batman 1989 NON-JOKER Discussion Thread

Whenever i see that, i get nightmares of my old leaky batman.

Re: Hot Toys Batman 1989 NON-JOKER Discussion Thread

I've got those custom Batcave pics on file too. He did a great job with it although I'd want one that opens and has some gear in it.

The Billiken is what Sovereign Studios began building his Batman figures from. Best 1:6 89 Bats sculpt out there. If HT can match that I'd be happy.

Thats the thing I can't stand about the new Batman films. Even just looking at that dio, you can feel the grungy 89 look and feel. Pipes, huge pipes, that industrial look. It has something legendary to it. Yet at the same time really dark but that grungy dirty darkness to it. Modern Nolan films just feel like a dark city. No atmosphere. No grungy feel, no dark bizzare feeling, no history it's just a made up history. It doesn't feel dated.

Everything about the 89 film feels like it has aged naturally. Not made to look it's old yet you still know it's new. There's just no dark cautious feel to Nolan's. To some degree the 89 film in a way makes me think of a similar feel to Robocop for Detroit for the Steel Mill. You just know it's a bad place to be. You can almost feel the filth of the place. How it's been allowed to deteriorate. Thats the thing I love about Burton's films. It just feels so curiously darkly. That there's more hidden away but you don't know what it is.
