So,do you guys think they just secured the rights or they've been hard at work on these and just saved the announcement for the big event?

I'm thinking BM, Joker and Supes will be revealed on Mayan calendar 2012, whenever that is. :lol

It's going to be a wonderful happy day for humanity :1-1:

I've got excellent insurance :hi5:

It covers the Earth splitting in half and the ocean rising 5,000 feet right next to my house and any new leakage from my Batman DX secondary to the disaster! :rock

It's called "Do We Cheat Em and How Insurance and We're Also Collectors"

That's why I went with them.

Very trust worthy group of fellas....they even sell on Ebay and always promise to never be late on a custom head sculpt...that's how honest they are :rock

You should try them V, give them a call......1-666-666-6666 (and their number is so easy to remember).

So happy I could be of assistance to my fellow freak. :hi5:

Re: HT Batman 1989 Coming

I consider myself such a guy :)
But like I already said, I dont even care about the screentime of Batman, as long as I am entertained, that is for me the only thing that matters, and that is what makes a good movie, not how much you see of Batman or if its true to the comics...

I guess that the advantage of not being a fanboy :)

Well that's the advantage of not being a fan of the character. And if it's all about being entertained, then Batman Forever was far more entertaining Returns.:lecture

Re: HT Batman 1989 Coming

Actually I think its easier to look at B&R than Batman Forever :)

Here is why, Forever tries to be taken seriously as a sequel to the first 2 films and B&R is just the very first comedy batman, so if you look at it that way, being a comedy, it works, and its a hell of a good comedy for that matter!

I mean, THIS IS A CLASSIC already! :lol

Forever had a nice balance of the dark serious material and the overtop light hearted stuff. Returns was far too dark and B&R was a joke.

Re: HT Batman 1989 Coming

If I'm going to have a favorite Batman film, I prefer it to be multiple choice.

I don't choose favorites or bests, I enjoy whatever I'm in the mood for. Obviously Forever and Batman and Robin are exceptions to that rule (they don't rate as high as the other four), but every now and then I can get into Forever purely out of nostalgia.

It isn't awful to me, it really isn't.

Hell, I can even stomach Batman and Robin. I don't care what anyone says, that film is INFAMOUS and to me, that's something to be proud of. If you don't like Arnold as Freeze, your heart is cold.

The six Batman films so far offer something for everyone, very few film franchises are capable of achieving what the Batman films have. Especially for just being "comic book movies".

They all reel in the most dough and merchandise too.

Hmmm...I can live with that :lol

I've been told that Toy Story is the perfect movie trilogy followed 2nd by Star Wars then Indiana Jones.

My wife is never wrong :lol

Re: HT Batman 1989 Coming

I really liked Carrey as the Riddler too. If you look at it, I was 4 when Batman 89 came out. I was 10 when Forever came out so I was more aware of it and watched it more intently. When Returns dropped in 92 I was 7, so even though I was a young Batman fan my parents felt it was too dark for me and gave away my VHS.

I like Batman even though it's not as vivid in my childhood as Forever is. The thing is their are multiple "Batmans" in the comics, different writers and artists help us form what Batman is for each of us. Depending oh what and who we read growing up would determine who Batman was to us...And everyone of these films caters to one of those tastes.

If I prefer Forever over most of them I don't see why I need to defend myself to high hell right? I like the new ones but they are a bit too grounded in reality. I really think Burton being director and producer brought a mythical dream like element to Gotham and Batman.

Re: HT Batman 1989 Coming

I've always enjoyed Batman Forever since i saw it opening day... for me it has always been (and still remains as Nolans movies are very removed) the most comic book of all the Batman movies... it really looks like the pages come to life.

I can't remember of the top of my head but i think it was last months issue of Batman #703 where the opening pages had the Streets of Gotham all lit up and it reminded me instantly of the scene from Forever when they are outside the second bank of Gotham... the movie imagery is right on the money even today.

I've said it before but Forever suffers because of it's awfully poor sequel. Years ago i remember how it was loved and there was always talk of which Batman movie is the best in the trilogy until the fourth came along and then over night Forever began to get slaughtered because of the short comings of Batman & Robin.
