I highly doubt it will go any higher, i think the price will plummet for the set.. 4000 piece is not really that limited IMO.. Scarecrow will have strong demand probably, but I can see this set being parted out on ebay for a fraction of this price.

In any case, if what you are saying ends up being true and the price goes up - then I'll be passing on this.. happy enough with my custom scarecrow, and don't need demon bats... if anything i'll try to pick up a scarecrow straightjacket and head if price is decent parted out.

I will be getting this but not at that price i can see them going like somebody said about $400 ish for the pair and i think this is fair

Obviously the price is a joke, intent on capturing easy pickings in a very uncertain marketplace. That's more than double the price of an OC Batman on the market, and I doubt anyone would pass up one of those (much less TWO) for the sake of Demon Batman and Scarecrow. If the seller makes the sale, he'll pocket a lot of change, but I don't think he expects to necessarily sell it at that price - it's just cheap to list, so he might as well try as long as nobody else is offering it yet.

But screw Hot Toys for putting both buyers and sellers in this position of uncertainty in the first place.
