I mean, if they're going to bust out some more Batman figures, how about a DX without any quality issues that has better articulation? Someone actually said a while back on this forum that those figures where just a joke, and I believed them. Imagine my surprise when I saw weeks later that you could pre-order them...

I read in another thread that HT were finished with the Batman liscence and won't be doing any figures from TDKR... Is that true? I can't seem to find any confirmation of this, and if so does that mean there's zero chance of a re-release of Scarecrow on his own at some point in the future?

Apparently they wrote that they wouldn't be doing any figures from the new movie on their Facebook page. It makes no sense to me that they wouldn't pursue the license, since there's a lot of money to be made from it...frankly I think the licensors must have responded pretty badly to all the problems they had with Batman DX and either declined to give them the license or imposed conditions on it that would have been more trouble than it was worth for HT to submit to them.

To your question, it wouldn't necessarily prevent them from releasing Scarecrow on his own, they obviously still have the license to release figures from Batman Begins since they are making the Demon/Scarecrow two pack now - it just would depend on when that license expires, and that's information that HT has never (to my knowledge) released.

That's funny, because when people were posting that, I looked on their Facebook page for confirmation, but I couldn't find any such message, anywhere (Facebook or not).

It's BS. People were just joking around in a fail thread.

If that info was true, it would have been all over the board by the whiners.

As for Scarecrow, like anything pay what you feel it is worth.

It is legitimate! I saw it. I was there. I saw it all. Hot Toys reached up with their dead hand and they signed it in their own blood. And they did it with this pen...

$600 is more reasonable in the sense that it's better than $1100, but it's still completely unreasonable. Note that the seller is Tony Cheung - the same guy who tried to sell it for $1100.

Looks like he found no takers, and is trying to lower the price to get someone to bite. Is anyone at all surprised?

I'll wait until there's an actual supply of these figures - then the laws of the market and competition will bring the prices into the realm of "reasonable."

Are you making the judgement based on the estimated retail in the pictures, or based on your perceived quality of the figures and accessories (relative to the quality and price of other figures)?

Based solely on the perceived quality - i'd say $300 should be the retail price, not the $400 that we've seen on the marketing material.

Yes. Only available as a set.

If you only want scarecrow, you're options are ebay or the sales section of these boards, although I doubt many people would only want the Demon bats and therefore would be selling the scarecrow...

I'm just gonna bash my own scarecrow, because the price for this set is too high for my blood, and like everyone else, I just want the scarecrow.
