Katie Holmes turning down the role ruined any sense of continuity for me. I just couldn't reconcile the two different actors playing the same character in separate movies. Maybe I'm not enough of a cinephile or Batman fan to overlook this, but it irritated me to tears.

All I remembered it was below $200.

My point is, chances are even if Eric of toys2 can get these exclusives, it will be jacked up close to ebay price.

Im sure if you were born or live in HK you'd do the same. I mean, even if you sell them cheaper, some scalper would buy it off, and sell it again on the bay.

^ (@void's comment) me too!! £250 is really the top-end of what I want to have to pay for these, but the chances of the price on ebay dropping anytime soon (if at all) is looking increasingly slim. Damn scalpers.

I agree neo, in fact the more I think about this the more annoyed I get.
It's unfair of them to release an exclusive item of a character (who is part of an on-going line) that hasn't been previously available to buy, and then make that exclusive unavailable to the rest of the world where an equally, if not larger portion of the fanbase for that line is.
It wouldn't be an issue if say, they had already previously released a Scarecrow figure and this exculsive had something that the other didn't, plus the Batman.
But to release a whole new character that fans can't get hold of and therefore have an incomplete line is seriously annoying.

I totally understand the choice for the guy of 21th century boys and Michael Jackson ( Even if MJ fans must be pissed ) but there is already Michael J available on the market ( and a lot )!
Here Scarecrow was "almost" the only one bad guy of the line left!

Either way, I'll almost certainly be getting the scarecrow at some point - whether I get the demon bats as well kind of depends on whether anyone can make a suitable Cillian Murphy sculpt to display it for that scene - otherwise Demon Batman is worthless to me.

I gotta say, I still don't think "fairness" plays a role here. Hot Toys doesn't owe anyone anything. If they don't want to sell to Western consumers, they don't have to. Again, they didn't have to release this figure at all. The fact that it is an exclusive is an inconvenience to many of us of course, but why should we be entitled to anything that they don't feel like giving to us? They create the things, they can do with them what they want to.

I'm on the list for Cheungkinmen's Cillian...with the glasses, I think it's pretty great. Not sure yet how I'm going to display him though...either under the mask, or possibly holding the mask. If I had demon bats - which is a long shot at this point - the "Dr. Crane is not in right now" scene is a no-brainer.

I'd love a Scarecrow however, I am not willing to pay the current price thus I go without. Suxs but that is the way it goes, move on.

Yeah I noticed you on the list - i'm debating whether I want it, it's a nice sculpt and looks great with the glasses and paint, but if I displayed a Crane it would HAVE to be 'Dr. Crane is not in right now', and for that, the head kind of needs to have that crazed/dazed expression..

For me, personally, I feel the 'unfairness' comes into play when we've been easily able to buy every other character they've released in the line, just not this one.
It's almost like taunting those collectors who have the rest of the line.
I'd honestly prefer that they hadn't made Scarecrow at all as opposed to making him and not being able to buy him.

I do think fairness plays a part - yeah sure they can do what they want, but to discriminate against one loyal customer base versus another - and make no mistake, HT DOES have a very loyal foreign customer base, reeks of bad business practice.
