it was the cheapest ... the price was 590 USD shipping included but I pay in euros so its chepear for me...

I hope that I did not precipitate :gah:

That's not so bad. I thought the Euro was doing much better than that against the dollar. Last I checked, it was worth twice that, so atleast you didn't pay $890 for them.

I think I made a "good" deal... but may be in the future the price of this set will be cheaper thant to today... but who knows... :slap

I don't know. All I know is that I'm not paying more than $200 for Demon Batman.

If they're worth it to you, then congratulations. You don't have to worry about getting them anymore.

don't worry Mag, when I was younger, all I knew was BTAS and STAS. not until my early teens did I actually start reading into comics and indulging myself in Batman and Superman Mythology. But I've only known about British Ra's...didn't know of the Arab/Chinese thing Mike was talking about. He just never looked full on British to me which is why I assumed he had Persian to him
As did I... but wasn't Ra's clearly Arab/Middle Eastern in the animated series? He looks Middle Eastern, has an Arab name, came from an ancient culture and lived in the desert. It couldn't be more apparent. Sure he has an English accent, but don't all cultured villains?

I've never read a comic that states he was of Anglo ethnicity. Since he's presumably been around forever, it makes more sense he'd be from older civilization.

Most living in non-English speaking countries learn "proper," British English in school, so they have that type of accent when they speak. Also, many folks in Iran, Syria, and any other given country in or around the Middle East are hard to distinguish, based on looks, from a traditional white, western European.

Are we hoping Toys2 will get some indication this week of what he's ACTUALLY getting? Or have we heard a number from Eric yet?

Has he mentioned price at all as well?

This is true. Which is why I have no problem with Liam Neeson playing a (presumably) light-skinned and blue-eyed Persian or person of mixed Arab ancestry. Neeson fits the part of the Ra's I know, more than a bald Japanese Ken Watanabe.

I've been checking ebay every now and then and I think I've only seen one Demon Batman for sale by itself.

I expected more after seeing all the "Keep Scarecrow, sell Batman" responses. Maybe it's too early to tell yet, not sure. Or it might be that the Demon Batman grew on them and they kept it.

This is what I'm predicting. :lecture

Not in every case, but i don't think the market is gonna be flooded with demons.

It seems that Toyhunters is starting to take orders and release their sets soon but T2 will only be receiving theirs in March which is strange. I really hope they are setting enough aside for all of us. Maybe we should bombard HT facebook page. .... Nono I was kidding. That page is so infested with complaints and requests almost spamlike I am surprised anyone and HT even reads it. I should post Mr. bean requests again every minute

Too early to tell, IMO, because most sellers on eBay right now are trying to charge jacked up prices with both lumped together (i.e., they aren't collectors who want to keep Scarecrow). Part of his ultimate value is going to depend on Demon Bats' interest by himself. If there are only a very few people out there that want it by itself, then it might not be worth re-selling. I wouldn't sell mine for a measly $70-80, for example, but that might be his ultimate value.

That makes sense.

Toyhunters is going to sell them to folks on their special waitlist until late January. Only after that will they know if there are any left over, and then they'll probably send some of the rest overseas.

Give it about a month till shipping, and you're looking at March.

Of course, that assumes that Toyhunters won't decide to keep some or all of their leftover stock at the end of January and let the Hong Kong collectors and scalpers come and have a second round of figures, before we even get a chance at a first.

I really hope they are setting enough aside for all of us.

Don't count on it. It looks like they're considering Western markets to be a contingency plan, just in case they don't sell out of their exclusives in Asia.

Well the profits will certainly be higher selling these directly from their own store and at the Tokyo event only. But Eric seems certain he will get some just q unknown. I even suspect that HT is not selling these at wholesale prices to ensure the profitability for this "limited" run.

I over payed for my demon batman $275 cuz I really think that's the only chance I'm gonna get. I've read a lot of places saying they will b getting them but honestly I think there hoping they get some that is if there's gonna be any left. remember the movie masters fear toxin batman a lot of people passed up just to see them being sold for 3x the amount. I rather get it now before it goes up for I don't think they will go down...if they do hey then I'm a fool but either way Ill have 1 in my collection. Even then I think if price drops they'll be hard to get cuz every1 will be grabbing them

Does anyone know how much consumers are actually paying for these from Toy Hunters or at the convention/fair? Presumably, it is less than the "MSRP" prices they were given. I'm just curious how much eBay sellers are marking these up.

demon/crow is 1980HKD, MJ beat it is 1180HKD, and tomodachi is 1180HKD.

So the bats set is approx 260-270USD.

Damn. I wonder where all these ____ers came up with the jacked up secondary market prices ($500-$600) then. I'd at least like to be kissed while I'm getting ____ed.

That would be nice if Eric sells them for the $270 USD price tag.

Wow, so MJ is closer to $150? Not bad. I figured guys quoting prices elsewhere were using the "MSRP" instead of the actual selling price here. This helps to give me an idea of what I ultimately will be willing to pay, then. Thanks!
