I think we'd be fooling ourselves to think these aren't already done. There's really zero chance they'll address any particular issues. Not with them shipping from SSC next month. It's safe to say, these are done, packed and on their way to California, possible faults and all.

Yep, these are done or nearly done and ready to load onto the container for a long boat ride as they are being shipped from SSC next month...

I have one on order and haven't gone through this thread, but wanted to know how many of these have damage/leakage?

One or two... a few... or a boatload?

^It's a friggin boatload dude.:monkey2

They are all messed up. Flaking issues, oil issues, melting issues, crotch issues..you name it, this figure has it.:(

Better cancel.:wink1:

Ah...yeah, ok. Cancelled. :wink1:

That must be why the Wayne headsculpt alone is going for $90. :lol

Thats a bloody good price compared to what I've seen!

Well, that's just a few I saw posted for sale. Most of the figs on ebay are 450 +.

Saw a few vids on youtube (like this one below) and they looked great, but that was the earlier TF batch, so I'm curious what the real damage report on this batch is...

Anyway, HT I'm sure is aware of this so I'm keeping my order as it is a SSC order, but If mine sux, we're prolly talking 3 months for a replacement. :gah:

This is crunch time for me.

This is what i posted in the Indiana Jones DX Thread...
I had resigned myself to having to miss out on this, but with the problems reported so far with the Batsuit Begins figure, i'm now thinking that figure won't be worth the hassle and limited shelf life of the rubber. not to mention the fear of breakages and splitting in any poses other than hands beside hips that some guys want.

I want that figure, but more so the figure HT showed in preview pics in a fighting stance, it seems if i buy that figure and display it like that it will break far too easily and i don't want it to just stand their doing nothing in a boring pose.

I'm now 70% sure i'm gonna cancel and get Indy instead.

After watching this video...

The figure seems more robust than some of the posts on here have suggested.

As i've said before I want this pose....

From the Video above it seems do-able, but most people are saying they would only go for this pose....

Because the rubber suit is almost guaranteed to be broken within two years, i DO NOT feel comfortable spending $225 on a HT quality figure for it to only last that long and only have one static pose, where as Indiana Jones will last much, much longer and the materials aren't prone to degrade for a long time.

I'm so damn conflicted over this now :(

No reason to be conflicted, you're dragging this on now. If you want dynamic posing with your figures than rubber body/suited figures aren't for you. Simple. Cancel. :wave

I had the OC Bats for three years with NO rubber probs. Of course you couldn't raise his arms over shoulder level. This is much more dynamic pose wise, just don't keep the poses for long periods, be careful with extreme poses and I bet it'll be fine.

Well i've had my original Dark Knight costume posed like this for almost a year....

I just checked it and it's as good now as the day i got it, and like i said from that video, this figure seems posable without damaging.

It's hard to judge if these valid concerns are just from a couple of bad figures and mishandling or from all with serious Quality Control on Hot Toys part.

Is it all just being blown out of proportion? or is it as serious as "don't pose it at all for risk of breakage"?

With this figure shipping next month, why is the other HT BB TF EX thread closed?

Should be a thread for this fig without having to come to a damage thread.

Start a new one?

Some guys arguing over something, a mod closed it and forgot to open it again for those who weren't arguing.

Well, it should be reopened then, especially since SSC is shipping these figures next month. Mods can monitor the monkey house issues. :)

Here we go again with the "batch" talk. Given this was a con ex with a relatively (use that term loosely) small ES, and has even waitlisted at Sideshow and due next month, it's all one batch. :lol

If they're being produced at different times, maybe a month or so apart, they are indeed different runs so your argument FAILS. :lol

Anyhoo, it's true this SSC "Batch" is prolly all one run. They'll be on the boat soon on their way here so time will tell...

I'm not really concerned because I'm getting mine from SSC.

I don't think these were being produced a month or so apart, more like one long run and boxed up and shipped as inventory matched specific order numbers. With Alice already arriving in Asia, I wouldn't be surprised if HT was done with his run a while ago.
