Saw that on FB.
Looks gigantic compared to the other two. Quite out of scale.

Wow that is quite an increase compared to the others. It's not something I welcome, and with Star Wars this would bother me much more, but luckily this is a single-figure-on-a-shelf display for me, so in isolation it shouldn't stand out as much.
No surprise. Hot toys have gotten larger and larger through the years. The Keaton toys (while still amazing ) are almost antiques now.
I've seen this in HT Affleck Batman figures (and I don't know about Marvel - I think Captain America might suffer from this?), but this is definitely not the case for HT Star Wars. Those have been very consistent is 1:6 scale and have seen no such increase, so it's not a general HT thing.

The Keaton figures are on the VERY old HT TTM Body, the only way to fix them are either by swapping the bodies or doing the height mod as shown in my previous post.

I'd love to see how this Kilmer figure would look next to the Arkham Knight or Batman Beyond Batman as those two are the tallest Batman figures to date, even taller than the Batfleck.

Here goes nothing

what mods u working on?

I did a quick body swap with a body from the newest Hot Toys ROTJ Scout Trooper. This body is much too narrow and I had to pad the sides of the torso to make the suit not way too loose. He’s a much better height now and I’m okay with the proportions. I think a body with a similar height and wider shoulders could look great.

I’m open to an recommendations but probably going to see if there’s a good Worldbox option.

UPDATE: The suit being split at the waist makes posing a lot better. The figure captures the characters build more accurately now IMO and he doesn’t look like a basketball player in the suit. The body he comes with is the beefiest I have seen on a hot toys figure.

Looks awesome! How difficult was it to open the suit up?

I rewatched them bc the 4k cMe out. Thise movies were beautifully shot, the music was outstanding.

I couldn't believe what a great batman Val Kilmer was. He played a brooding Bruce and a somewhat happier Batman. I was stunned how well the movie held up and now I am older, it's a near perfect hero movie.

Most hero movies especially from DC, lost the cheesy comic stuff...the fun is gone, and replaced with darkness and grit. Gotham looks like Gotham in this movie.

Seeing it made me buy this and the robin figure with no second thoughts. Heck I may get another for unmasked versions.
Agreed 100%. Somewhere along the way DC lost the idea that Batman and Robin could just be fun and not 100% grounded in gritty realism. Give me an OTT Batmobile any day, a Gotham that doesn't look like Chicago and a real Batcave.

Surprisingly easy. At least on mine I was able to pry the seam at the waist apart starting at the back. I didn’t even need tools just gentle pressure with my thumbs pulled it apart. I could then slowly work my way around to the front with no real issues. There’s maybe a 1mm tear on the back of the top side of the seam in the back but anything like that will be easily hidden by the belt.

Getting the top off is pretty tough. You need to rotate the arms up and twist the sleeves at the same time. I still got some creases at the front of the deltoids but they’re pretty minor. Will update if they go away but it looks like it’s the paint that’s creased on top of the rubber.

Nice job but at the same time, side by side with the DX19, it looks unproportioned. Compared to batbale, the arms look short and the neck/cowl longer. Now if you have Robin, you'll have to mod that as well to match the height. What really is the cause for the tall height? Are the legs too long?

Thanks for the info. Are you going to pad up the shoulders ?

This was more just to see how the figure looks at the more or less right height. He’s probably a tiny bit too short right now, he is a little shorter than my custom DX19.

The arm length could just be due to the way the shoulders are posed. Since the suit is really loose it’s hard to tell where they are in their ROM and I didn’t spend much time posing it.

I think a 4-5mm taller body with broader shoulders will look pretty good.

Why oh why did they make him so damn tall?
you’re right, so weird…

I’m a little worried for those who order the Forever Batmobile.
Imagine, your 1800$ Batmobile isn’t properly scaled with the figure now…
Looks like Henry Cavill in the suit…

Keaton is 5,7 ( 175 cm)
Kilmer is 5,9 ( 182 cm)

On the pic, the HT kilmer looks almost 6,5…
