I passed on the AoU version, her face looks very angry on that one lol, not include what you need to do to make her hair more tidy

The problem with the MOS Superman is the extra long abdomen in the body they used. If HT wants to re-use that body we'll once again have a freakishly large Superman--and since you'd assume HT would want the Batman from this line to be in scale with him, we're also going to get a freakishly large Batman. The MOS Superman's problem was magnified by the fact that the Cavill headsculpt was also extremely large, with the pouffy hair on top adding even more size to it. I bought the MOS superman for the body and outfit only and put a Christopher Reeve head on top of it, which actually makes it a bit smaller since Reeve's head wasn't oversized like Cavill's. With the Reeve head the MOS body actually scales pretty decently with Thor:



I'm betting even the Wonder Woman from this line will get a comparatively large female body--at least the same size as the huge Black Widow from Iron Man 2.

I wish for reveals before Christmas to make up my mind to buy another Superman or not. If new Superman not unsignificantly different, i will just skip it

I am down for pretty much every fig from this film. A buddy has even offered to buy my MOS Superman if I decide to get this one. I loved the trailer and I am really excited for this film. With my MCU setup almost complete(Black Panther. BW, Bucky are all I need) BvS is my most anticipated line. I want to see the Hot Toys Wonder Woman. Just capture the look of determination on her face at the end of the trailer when the Trinity is together!!

As for mos torso being freakishly large...I disagree. It's just perception becuase of the way the suit is designed(not a hot toys issue). There's little to break it up in the mid section. It's why classic comic characters had their underwear in the outside. It creates that visual break that people expect from clothing. Anytime there's a single piece garment it will make it appear elongated. But it's not. Look at vision. Same thing. There's no visual reference for a transition between upper and lower body so it appears to be elongated. It's not reality though. In the mos thread I did a comparison with four or five seperate body's and used rulers and calipers and all that. Every character that's supposed to be 6'2 to 6'4 ish (cap, superman, batman, Thor, fury..) had nearly identical (millimeters difference) break downs. And most where actually larger in the upper body, torso or mid section then mos superman. It's just a optical illusion. Take your returns or reeve superman and throw the booty shorts on mos and you will see exactly what I mean.

Can't wait to see these, hope it's soon. Batman & armored version are probably a must have. Nightmare Batman is more than likely a no go! Hell if I had more cash & room I would get them all. I already plan on getting the DC statues of Bats & armor. Hhmmm - I may have to rethink this whole thing! I liked the trailer except for Lex being Goofy ( hope its an act ) & the corny dialogue ( Is she with you? I thought she was with you. ) Ouch! I got a chill thinking of Batman & Robin. Let Marvel have one liners, DC needs to kill it!

Batman had sarcastic humor in the cartoons. It seems fitting to put in the movie. And why all complaints about doomsday, he looks like he did in the comics except the bone chin.

The MoS Superman was simply the wrong scale, it has nothing to do with character or actor heights. Hot Toys completely goofed on that line, the figure's proportions are wrong and it doesn't compliment the scale of any other of their lines. Imagine them doing a figure with hands as big as the figure's feet? How ridiculous would that be?

Exactly. Just not worth wasting time trying to explain to the gallery. HT MoS inexplicably jumped to a different scale with the release. I don't know if HT was testing a new body or what. I mentioned Reeve only because of the height difference in the actors, so even taking the argument of it being the same character and therefore actor height being a non-issue there would be no reason for MoS to tower over '79 Superman. The only other time I'd gotten Hot Toys figure that was out of scale was the Rocky IV Ivan Drago, although that was far worse. I guess we will see when it comes out. If it is back in scale I'll probably sell the other. Anyway I make a simple statement about hoping the new figs are in the standard scale and the minutia starts. Just Part of being on the forum.
