And although my photography didn't do it justice on this occaision, I would HOPE that people read the words... and the review was actually pretty glowing!

I have to say, I always enjoy the reviews. I like to see constructive reviews and I have to say it felt it was. I am gonna start re-organizing my shelf to make room for him.

awesome GIF

Same here! :blissy

Did you guys order from Sideshow Toys?
I received an e-mail from them a few days ago stating that it will ship soon and to verify that my shipping address and credit card on file is correct by Oct. 10th before it ships, but the toy itself has not shipped yet. :/

Yankee you have no interest in the figure :lol your more of an Iron Man fan and collector... why you trying to convince those on the fence NOT to buy one :wink1: (So some cancel and you can grab some more for yourself :lol eh at normal/close to normal prices?)

Eh I have 3 Jokers, a Bats and a Tumbler so I think I'm doing just fine with my collection but thanks for your concern. :huh

I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything, I have 1 locked on PO so if I wanted it I have no issue adding it to my collection. Sorry but the matte suit doesn't impress and looks bad next to a figure they released years ago.

What are you talking about? Nobody has ever complained about the OC Bats suit. Flat paint on a pvc figure? The original one is fine. That's the issue some people are unhappy about, the fact that HT didn't leave well enough alone a material and process that has held up well to date on the original figure.

Nowhere in my previous statement was I talking directly about the OC Batman. You and I are making the same point. I think you somehow misread it.

I really agree with that. Although using a flash truly does show what a dust magnet this figure looks like it may be. Which is one of my largest concerns right now. I think the Hot Toys community's constant nit-picking and desires for things to be so ridiculously accurate has backfired. Hot Toys continues to raise the bar for the standard of their product, and in turn is actually making more problems arise. Especially with materials like this rubber. I now wish that we didn't ask so much from Hot Toys and just got a nice flat paint on a pvc figure. I don't plan to ever undress Bats and get him all Ken Doll orgy naked, and so I don't think the call for rubber suits is necessary, but Hot Toys is forced to make things more realistic for their consumer. Now we're paying for it.

:dunno sounds like OC Batman talk to me!

Fixed for accuracy. :lecture:lecture:lecture:exactly:

:lol Well, yeah that's what I meant. Thanks.:lol

And on to the whole "finish" thing with the new Bats, personally I never really liked the glossy look on the suit even way back when I first saw it. That doesn't mean I dont think the figure is bad ass or wouldn't want to own it, its just a small gripe I guess. Now the new one...well those first pictures on this thread were awful..really really bad but all the subsequent one's that followed are bad ass. Although I believe that to be more "movie accurate" I think HT would do better with something in the middle, not gloss not matte. Personally I think the figure is awesome, both of them and I'm glad I've kept my order. :yess:

Some ppl just can't be pleased, if HT went for a non rubber suit then ppl would complain, so they make the suit rubber for accuracy and ppl still complain. I think the more movie accurate the better, and this version is awesome.

Yank take :chillpill: I was only joking man! :peace

I was checking out my bro's star wars collection the other day & couldn't help but take note of just how far off the figs look from the actors. & MAN-O-MAN he has the vintage Battel Star Galaxica Star Buck or what ever its called MOC, & the fig is UUUULGY as hell & does not look a damn thing like the actor 's photo on the back. BUT.....still we buy! & why? Because as kids we just didn't care. Now its true SW or BSG figs retailed for a hell of a lot less than HT figs, but fan collectors still shell out crazy amounts to own a piece of history. There for I really don't care if this part of Batman is not screen acurate or not. If you love the movie & like the fig.......buy it. Then let history judge if you made the right call or not. :wink1:

collectors are whiners. That's why you just gotta get what you want and do what makes you happy. People fail to realize at times that it is a high-end collectible in their hands, not an actual person shrunken. Which is apparently what some of the people up here want so they will always follow the same loop of complaining.

Agreed and 100% true. I've decided to avoid certain threads (DC primarily) after recieving preorder information and product info. There are far too many children on this site.
