Here is what my right boot look like

MEOlU.jpg

My boot looks exactly the same way. It's not real tight when the ankle is snapped in, but the boot doesn't fall off either.

Is this considered a defect? I'm not sure if my boot is good or not now?

I think some people's boot actually started to crumble and piece were falling off. If it's just loose you may just want to tighten it up if you can. a drop of super glue on the ball joint and keep moving it so it doesn't stick but rather create a tighter bond.

I got the replacement today from SS. Just the body with the suit on including guantlet with hands, right and left boots. It is just the body without CB head on. I am fine with it. The new boots feel tighter for sure. It should be able to stand on its own. However, there are few things not liking it.

1. There are some silver paints on the back of the suit, butt area and some on the boots.

2. A lot of dust on the replacement figure. So, it is not brand new.

3. There is still a dent on the front of the suit (left side).

4. There are some alignments issues on the suit. It is little hard to explain. Not too sure if SS or HotToys took out the top part of the suit and fixed the shoulder joint issues. Then, put the suit back on. There is a little piece from the top suit that wrap under the butt area. The alignment of that piece is little off. You know they just re-glue it.

I am happy SS finally sent a replacement body. But, the quality of the replacement is not what I expected...

I am a toy collector and Hot Toys is one of my favorite toy company. But, this batman figure is giving a little uneasy feeling.

Should I reture the figure and ask for a refund?

got mine today, left boot joint broken, left kneecap thing not cenetered with knee

You all know this is a posable figure right? It's not necessarily gonna be posed perfectly out of the box. The body can be posed and the suit can be futzed. Between those two factors everything should be easy to center. :dunno

That is exactly what mine looks like. It doesn't fall off on its own, but its looser than the other foot. I guess it doesn't completely destroy the figure. For guys that contacted SS, are they going to simply replace the boot or what?

Yup, they're sending me a replacement.

What's funny about the whole situation is that when people realize the QC issues are on Hot Toys' end, this whole thing could really help Sideshow's reputation.

This is actually the first thing I've bought directly from them. I've heard their customer service is great, and this situation has reinforced this. They've done a fantastic job so far dealing with these problems.

Where do you live, if you don't mind me asking?

He's a member on here . I saw his FS thread . Thats a steal $95 bucks or best offer . The figure looks like a Gem Mint too

Yeah, I got the link from his auction thread. Hope someone here grabs it. Those Takara gauntlets look badass.

You can just paint the HT ones, but I like the shape of the Takara gauntlets better:

I have the takara using the first night out setup. I even have my stuffed to look buff and the new bale head on him.

Are the takara gauntlets movie accurate? ill have to swap em out.

The superglue/nailpolish trick to make the ankles tighter. Just pull the boot out and put some inside the joint then let dry and reconnect? its that easy?

Intothevoid said that the Takara gauntlets are more accurate in every way. If anyone would know it's him. :lol

I just think they look cooler the way they taper down and have a bit of curve to them.

My figure's left ankle is the same way. It is looser than the other ankle but doesn't come off either...

As a nice bonus the HT gauntlets work really good on the Takara and are much easier to futz. I always have trouble getting the sleeve tucked into the gauntlets on the Takara and the HT ones are easier to work with on that figure.

I guess im swapping gauntlets when I go home!

Nailpolish/superglue trick safe? The ankles are loose but not broken. Well, actually i dont know. I have not removed the boot yet. Just pull? lol
