My last post was meant to be taken as a joke... I don't like "Begins", never have and I've watched it enough times and still I get nothing... I can't help but feel that Ra's al Ghul "big plan" is something that could have been the plot of a TMNT film... just seemed silly for something that was supposed to be based and set in reality.

I even hated the suit... too bulky and advanced to be Batman's first full suit... by I digress...

This figure looks awesome, it's so intimidating and powerful looking, translates so much better in 1:6 than it ever did on film in 1:1 (my opinion of course.)

I'm really sorry that a lot of you guys ended up with lemons, surely ruining your initial thoughts of this figure.

M.

Glad I'm not the only one. For me the plot was too slick and neat, and the ingredients too obvious (ninjas...check, mythic journey... check). I loved TDK because it was such an unusual mix of action movie and Seventies style 'city movie', the mixture really gelled.

Poop, SS isn't gonna do anything about the SUPER SHINY forehead Bruce Wayne head but they'll replace my boot.

Yeah, what a load of bollox!

If SS have been onto HT about that and thats what they were told by HT, well....I still don't believe it. If HT were genuinely intending to create a sweat effect they would pull it off far more convincingly - to a point where there would be no doubt it was 'sweat' rather than simply a paintrub.

Why would they even think about putting sweat on his forehead anyway?
And why is it different on every sculpt?

I think I will contact them and ask for a replacement because mine doesn't have any on it!
:lol

Theres just no way HT intended to put 'sweat' on the Wayne head. Or if they did they'd have done a better job of it.

:exactly: I just noticed that mine has some glossy spots on his forehead, nothing major, but still kind of annoying. It looks to me as if it was caused by the unnecessary plastic that was wrapped around the headsculpt.

Perhaps for the 'First night out' look, he might have gotten a bit sweaty :dunno But still I highly doubt HT would deliberately go so specific as to make him sweaty - they would know a lot of people would use this head for a regular Bruce Wayne where a sweaty look wouldn't be appropriate. So whatever way you look at it, its a bull$h!t way over covering their a$$es so they don't have to replace every customer's Wayne head.

I think I know why there is a big shine on the head of bruce wayne. It seems it is a bad package calculation. The pressure on the plastic protector is to strong so it scrape the head. Maybe that is exactly why the head comes with a plastic tape around the head, but it seems it wasn't enough protection against the pressure of the big plastic cover.

I think it is from the platic that's wrapped around his head. When I took it off, I had to peel it off of his head, as if it was warped to it.:dunno

the plastic on my head came out easy,,,, and I still got a bit of shine on the head.

Finally heard from Sideshow about a replacement, they're going to send me a replacement body and after I look it over for defects they want me to send the broken one back.
Now it's another waiting game.

I heard back today from SS and they're sending me a replacement body. I have to destroy the old one when it arrives and send pictures. How many of you have had to do that?

Also, what is with every defect on this figure being on the right side?
Right abs
Right wrist peg
Right knee pad
Right ankle joint

Is that side of their production line falling asleep or what?

I would like to confirm that the right knee pad was indeed off-set. At first I thought people just needed to futz their figures pants, but you can clearly see here that the two pads were placed differently:

His right knee was way off.

Thankfully, with some care, it comes off quite easily without damaging anything.

You can see where the pad is supposed to fit. And you can see where they actually glued mine on:

I used this stuff to glue it back in the right place:

I've used it before on my DX02. It's perfect for rubber.

Here's my current knee placement. :)

I encountered the exact same thing and executed the same solution. It's very odd how disastrous the entire right leg has turned out to be. In terms of ankle/knee joints and the right knee pad.

Going slightly off topic, but still on packaging, last week I opened a MISB OC Batman and while it was fine there was something slightly oily to the touch about it - all of it, suit and cowl. After a few days in the open air it's gone. I never experienced anything like this last time I opened a MISB OC, in early 2010, so maybe it's a developing problem or something unique to the conditions in which the figure I bought had been stored in. But either way, I never trust packaging and certainly not the cheap plastic they wrap around heads and limbs etc. Even MISB collectors should think again about keeping their stuff 'sealed' - fresh air is good for toys.

Packaging can sometimes just be humidity traps.
