Separate them gently. The glue is cheap so it will come right off. I did the same thing with my destroyed my replacement (experimented with the rubber suit a bit to see what it's limits were).

Here's some reference pics by Commtech,

Just quote this one again and still doesnt look right. Poor brucey...

I was about to sell my Batman but did want to finish my cowl mod. Now, with Iforigno cape I am starting to like him a little more. Still needs a little sanding here and there, but at least the cowl has better proportions now.

Wow that that looks amazing!!!

Is that lforigno's hero templete cape?

And what did you do to the cowl is looks different. The mouth piece does too.

Yeap, the cape made a huge difference and was one of the reasons I decided not to sell the figure yet. I hated the original cowl and bought another head piece on Ebay, fairly cheap. Did a neck mod by cutting the cowl neck right below the chin. After cutting all the way around a few millimeters, I attached the cowl neck again and put some epoxy putty to conceal the seam. You can still see it but it is barely noticeable. I had to make some major "rubber surgery" reducing the ears and the nose which was way too big. I also had the chance of eliminating the seam on the sides, left by the original mold. I had to sand a lot and still need to sand a little more. But for now, Batman looks descent and closer of how he really looks in the movie.

Forgot to add that I did a "crazy mod" by removing the pegs of the suit where the cape clips go and repositioned them a bit lower, making new holes on the rubber suit.

If it wasn't for that description I could have sworn you sanded the whole head, hence the edges aren't as sharp. You need to matte up the finish though.

@ urutoraseven: You got some real huevos man.

You have them positioned perfectly, and they look nice and stable with that method. I just don't think I have the nerve to make holes in the suit.

Haha, nice comment!
Yeah, I was sweating on the process but it was worth doing it.
I only need to paint the cowl to look less shining. There is a Tamiya spray paint called "flat rubber black". Hope to get one soon.

^^ Thanks brother, I still need to get a bunch of rappelling gear for him and to switch out his harness and gun for HT. His break down so far;
HT TTM
Takara harness and gun
Art Figures SEALs black t-shirt
ACI vintage jeans (IMO best in the biz)
Playhouse GSG9 boots (24)
