first of all, I apologize for my poor English.

Second, TOYLION, You're a damn genius, thank you, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

I made your mod

My Method: using 2 tweezers I DO NOT roll up the boot, at least not much. and I can remove the base of the foot without violating the rubber.

just be patient and the foot will loose.

dont forget to protect the exterior of the boot using a napkin or some kind of cloth. The tweezer may damage it or loose some joints of the ruber. PAY ATTENTION!!!.

modification works, and works better if you also change the foot peg.

before I learned of this modification, I tried other ways to repair the boot that resulted in a slight deformation of the rubber. To fix this problem, I'm thinking of making a cut to imitate the ziper of the original boots and make the boot fit firmly to the leg. Check my last photo (original Batman begins boot).

again, thanks Toylion, thanks to you my Bat can stand up agains crime. :yess:

:hi5::yess::clap:1-1: Glad you were able to fix your boots. Great way of removing the bootfeet. Thanks for the photos, sure to be of help to others.

Excellent! How hard was it to get the feet in those boots?

Excellent! How hard was it to get the feet in those boots?

hello TheFiend!!!, thanks for your question, it reminded me 3 things I forgot to comment:

first: sculpt it such that the result is a very thin foot, then sand it. I used as reference the original foot inside the boot.

Second: use a drop of baby oil to help the foot from slipping inside the boot, place it in the foot and not in the boot.

Third, be patient and pay attention to point the fingers facing up. (I dont override the little toes movement, fearful that the lack of mobility will complicate my capacity to insert it).

Remember: the problem is not to place the foot in the boot, the problem is how to remove it.

and as always, sorry for my english, thanks you Toylion and greetings from Buenos Aires.:wave

Shows how crappy the Hot Toys boots are now.

I bet the Enterbay boots, going by their work on the T-800 will be leather and nicely mimic the above photo. I'm getting tired of rubber, it's just a pain.

Baby powder also work in slipping feet onto boots.

Great tutorial! Your english is fine, I can understand you. Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll be sure to use them in the future.

You said it. This is my first HT Batman and I can't help but feel a little disappointed. I have the Medicom TDK suit and I much prefer that suit. I just don't think this figure is a good as it could be. They need to start thinking outside the box with their Batman figure's. Maybe make the suit the actual body itself and just sorta hide the joints. Kind of like the Predator figures. It would make for better articulation too. I don't know if that will actually cheapen the look of the figure though.

I didn't use any of that stuff...I wish I would have thought of it. :lol

Yeah. Honestly, the only thing I like about this figure is the headsculpt and the option to change out the face plates.

Other than that, it's inferior to the original costume TDK in every way. Yeah, this one has the Bruce Wayne headsculpt but the production piece didn't turn out NEARLY as nice as the prototype.

The cape was a turn off, the rubber suit isn't as nice as the original, and then those freaking boots. I have one that's fine (the boot was replaced by sideshow) but my second one ended up having the same problem (no replacement available). Even with the replacements and the other foot, I get the sense that it's going to break if I pose the ankles too much. In fact, I think one of them have already broke a bit. For something that should be extremely durable, it's awfully cheap and brittle.

There's really no excuse for that when the original costume, TDK V1, DX and Demon had zero problems with the boot ankles. No excuse at all. Especially when you figure in that the MSRP was more than the others at $224 USD.

It left a bad taste in my mouth, I expected the worst with '89 Batman. Thankfully, Hot Toys came through with that one.

While I'm not interested in a new version or a revisit to the Batman Begins style Batman (other than seeing what Enterbay comes up with with their 1/4 versions), I'd be curious to see a Begins Batman that had,

- A multiple piece suit with segmented "armor" pieces. By it's design, it's made exactly like the '89 Batman suit was. Rubber pieces attached to a skin tight (or in this case, True Type) spandex, leotard/wet suit. Think Storm Troopers or Clone Troopers. Hot Toys got this right in 2005 with their first Begins Batman, but it seems like once the Takara came out on the scene with their fantastic Batman, the formula for the body suit changed and was copied.

- Improvements on the cowl/headsculpt.

- New boots designed better with a higher quality material that isn't one piece. More like the '89 Batman boots.

- A cape that bests lance's great effort.

Hell, I'm fine with my Takara, Original Costume and these Begins exclusives. If Hot Toys would have just made the quality control and overall quality of this figure as good as or better than the original costume or the '89 Batman, I would have been perfectly content.

Agreed on all accounts. I've never seen the original original HT Begins figure in person, only pics. On a side note another thing that really leaves a bad taste in my mouth is how HT handles problems like the DX02 and QC in general. You'd think they'd be a little more grateful to their fans that made them the powerhouse they are. I knew of Hot Toy's for years but didn't really start collecting until there work got really interesting. I hopped on board a little after DX01 and DX02 so I missed out on that whole debacle. What I heard about how they initially treated the situation with DX02 is....F'd up to say the least.

This was my first Batman from Hot Toys as well and because of that I think I'll always have a soft spot for it, it's not perfect and the 89 Batman kicks its arse but I don't think I'd ever sell it. I can't even bring myself to not display him as Batman even now I've got 89 Batman either. It's definetley a figure that needs a lot of love to look as good as it can.

I'd love to be able to see in hand the original Batman Begins figure, The Dark Knight Original Costume and this just to see the difference between the 3.

The Medicom TDK Batman boots are 78423180798730742 times better. Roughly.

I owned the original OC, I did like the suit better on that one.

I've been spoiled by the 89 figure now.

When I look at the BB exclusive, I see Batman, not Bale Batman, just Batman. I guess that's ok.

But when I look at 89 I see Keaton as Batman. WIN!

They are better but I actually don't like the Medicom boots. They're actually the only thing I don't like on that figure.

^I'm soo happy I'm getting that figure.

As for the original OC body I wish I had the cash to buy one and swap mine out. I originally didn't like the gloss of the first one but with all the problems with this body I'd take it.
