the only mcu movies that are great...

civil war, guardians, winter soldier, iron man, and avengers.

still think tdk tops them all though, probably begins also.

I didn't say the movie went over his head. I said my post did apparently. and I was talking about bvs in that post also, not cw.

i should... remember to quote people's messages.

If you didn't say nor imply that the movie went over his head, then why did you feel what I said applied directly to you when I never mentioned anyone by name?

thought it was me, because I was the one who said something similar, but I forgot to quote the person I was responding to which caused confusion here.

They are fighting because stark believes their power should not be in their own hands. yeah the collateral made him come to this conclusion.

captain because he believes that the alternative of having organizations monitoring and controlling their power is even more dangerous. things done to bucky, things that happened in winter soldier, avengers, etc. shown this.

what was bvs's main theme? muddled and said only once during a brief conversation where they were just doing monologues.

I know why Cap and IM are fighting initially and why the Sekovia Accords are made...I just think Stark's reason isn't that great either. Again, not saying that BvS reasons were the best but I don't think Stark's weren't enough either.

At the end of the day, I'm not saying CW was a bad movie, I just don't think it's as great as the majority is making it out to be an I have the right to feel that way. I'm not stupid. I know what both sides are fighting in both films. I've avidly read the comics since I was young as well. I'm not some dense noob that just doesn't get it. I'm not asking anyone to see my POV and therefore don't need anyone trying to explain to me what I might of missed to show me the light of how great CW really is. I enjoyed it enough and thought the fight sequences were some of the best we've seen in any marvel movie and I'll leave it at that :)

I liked both BvS and civil war and felt while there could have been improvements, the movies did enough to tell their stories and show the plot. I do not know if it went over my head as dominishin hinted though. Just felt every character had their reasons for fighting. As for those that mentioned "dawn of justice", where was it in the movie? Well the movie acts as a precursor for the justice league. The beginning of the justice league hence dawn of. Again thats my take.

I think even the most biased of fans will admit that the two Iron Man sequels and the second Thor are pretty poor films.
Funny cause my favorite Marvel films are: Iron Man, Iron Man 3, Thor 2, Guardians and Ant-Man. Actually, those are the only Marvel films I can watch. The rest is so god damn awful.

I think Avengers was a turd and Avengers 2 was one of the worst superhero films ever made. Superman 4 is better than AoU. AoU is a stinker.

:exactly:

I enjoyed both immensely. I thought both were very good movies. I've seen each one twice.

Well IM2 is horrendous but still has some good parts. AoU I cut on but still enjoyable. Now TDW I can't watch again . I actually like IM3....

Wow, intriguing! You have very peculiar taste.

IM2 I personally liked. I like AoU better than A1. TDW I can watch on occasion, but it wouldn't be my go to film, so to speak if I didn't know what else to watch; I like the first Thor much better than TDW.

My personal favorite top 5 Marvel films that I enjoyed the most in no order would be: Civil War, AoU, TWS, GotG and Ant-Man.

That's what my buddy and I were saying...same old same old. Not to say there weren't great parts b/c there were. I just really thought it was going to be THE superhero movie of the year. Even as much as I loved BvS, I thought CW was going to beat it honestly and for me, it didn't.

:lol we are def. on the same page Spindrift :hi5: we walked out of the theater and were like "ppl are still going to give this rave review JUST b/c it's Marvel Studios and Marvel can do no wrong.

You said it!!! "We can't say bad things about our guys on the Marvel team(thinking at the same time CW was not the all time classic they wanted it to be)"
I was underwhelmed to say the very least. Amazing because I think the Russos are great filmmakers but the script didn't match their directorial talent.

Ah, I personally really enjoyed it. I thought it lived up to the hype. However, I can't say I enjoyed it better than BvS, as what a lot of people seemingly want others to concede. I enjoyed both a great deal.

I actually like most Marvel films, but that's just my personal view. I'm not going to sit here and tell you that IM2 and TDW were good films, despite quite enjoying one of them.

That's all it's about. :duff

I wouldn't sit here and agree with someone that says they feel any particular film is a bad film if I personally didn't feel it was.

When I first saw it, I was kinda... meh! But then I re-watched it (with the kids) and I didn't think it was THAT bad. It's a lot better than any of the Captain A films (And I like Evans).
I tried to re-watch AoU (shudder). 20 minutes in, I gave up. It was terrible.
