Ah, so the one I was looking at on eBay is the OSK sculpt then. I know jedijim mentioned that his was the OSK sculpt, but I wasn't sure if it was the same one I was looking at. Just picked one up off of their eBay store.

Cool. Does it light up?

I know Username has done light up heat vision sculpts though for the MoS Supes sculpt, the Zod sculpt and the Reeve sculpt. Not sure if he's done the BvS sculpt yet.

These pics don't show it the way your eyes do, but it has a nice even glow when switched on.

The sculpt is really good. Seams like an exact copy of the HT. Only difference is the paint apps are a little less detailed on the custom. Not a big deal cause you'll never have both heads in the same shot unless you take a comparison pic like I did above.

Does not light up
Looks great
Got mine from OSK direct
Fits perfect

I think all of them are the same sculpt but other sellers may have a different paint scheme for the eyes. Not sure as I only have the one but some of the in hand pics shown on eBay have the red around the eyes above his brow. Could be the same as mine in hand but I guess you won't know until you get it.

So in a store that seemingly rarely sells HT figures, I go into my local LCS today after having seen BvS Superman on display there a week ago and deciding to pick another one up to display with Armored and Knightmare Bats, only to find out that they sold it! Go figure. They seldom seem to sell the HT figures they have displayed, but of course when it's one I go in there looking to snare after having seen it in there, it sells before I can get to it.

However, it was a blessing in disguise though because I ordered one off of BBTS and it ended up being cheaper.

I purchased the OSK heat vision sculpt yesterday, so I'm looking forward to receiving both and being able to pop the heat vision sculpt on the second Supes figure.

Just saw Suicide Squad today and really enjoyed it. Probably personally my least favorite of the DCU films thus far, but then again, there's also only three, so it being third doesn't mean it was a bad film. I really liked it.

As it pertains to Superman...

I thought it was really cool how the guy had that stand set up on the street and was peddling Superman glyph shirts with "Remember" scrawled across the back of the shirt. Thought that it was a nice way to tie the events of BvS into this film and have Amanda Waller and essentially everyone lauding him as being a hero. Even though this didn't have Superman in it, they actually did a good job at reminding you that he is, for the time being, gone, and how the world is dealing with his absence.

It's not a local shop, but I frequent a shop often that is about 30 mins away from me. It's one of the few comic book shops around that carries lots of SS and HT figures, and many of them are still sitting in the display cases. I don't like the fact that they open them and display them, but they do carry everything, however the store is never able to really move them. I was able to pick up the Bank Robber Joker 2.0 almost two years after it came out and for $40 cheaper than the SS price. Lol. I'm glad they don't post their stuff on eBay. Haha. I even picked up the SS Killing Joke style Joker about a year ago which is amazing, for only $145 brand new. Oh and the ASM2 SpiderMan as well for dirt cheap as well. Sometimes you can find that diamond in the rough when it comes to local retailers, but for most people HT style figures are just too expensive, however folks like us will snipe them with the quickness, while the average comic shop fan is having a marginal attack of perturbation when they look at the prices. :exactly:

Mine gets their stock from SSC though and has said they are apparently under orders to sell them at the same price, so deals aren't really to be had there. They have most of theirs out on display also which I generally don't like because you never know who's been walking through there and groping at the figure; however, on the same token, the up side is you get to visually inspect the figure for any defects and see what you like or don't like about it before getting or not getting it.

Yes, you do. :lol

The owner of my LCS says Sideshow allows them to discount up to 8% off the Sideshow prices. Hence, I belong to their "VIP" club and get the 8% off which is the main reason why I purchase from them.

Finally had to give in and put the MOS head on mine. I'm glad other people are happy with the current likeness, but it just wasn't working for me with the oversized nose and the fact he was looking, well, a whole lot uglier than he should be.

I am kinda tempted though to buy another MOS head on ebay and see if I can modify it with some shorter BvS-style hair. I think that would probably look pretty cool.

So whats the verdict for you guys who have it in hand does it look good?

I finally had time to try the fly mod i had in mind using magnets.
One magnet inside the body and the other will go on the bendable pole.
Works ok on home heating pipes lol but might not be strong enough for being stable on the pole.
The inner body magnétique is not facing the outside magnét i still have to work it.

I'm hoping I'll have both figures in time for the 4k bluray release. I wanna watch the movie while I have both action figures in each hand and just start bashing them together like a 5 yr old....

That's what we all do right?

Necropost. Had to comment on the joy that this post brought me. Bravo, good sir.

It's taken me a long road to get here. I absolutely hated MoS. just truly didn't care for it. Conflicted too much with my childhood love of Christopher Reeve's Superman.

When BvS was getting ready to be released, I hated the first trailer, but really liked the second one. I didn't see it in the theater, but decided to buy the Blu-Ray just for something new to watch. I really, REALLY liked it, and was genuinely disappointed by the reviews. The 'sad Affleck' video really cemented that to me, but after seeing the film for myself, it was just plain wrong. After enjoying BvS so much, I went and picked up a copy of MoS. Still has problems, but I'm much softer towards it now than I was.

Anyways, I have a buddy who was getting rid of his Hot Toys MoS figure, so I bought it. I was amazed at the quality and feel of the figure, so I headed over here to read about the figure. After reading through hundreds of pages (with the max number of posts per page setting), I was completely amazed at how much work so many of you have put into that figure. Truly astonishing, and a great illustration of the teamwork and comraderie of this site. Although I couldn't see it at first, the neck/cape issue has driven me crazy. I wanted to see about getting a TonyMeis cape, though I fear they're out of production now.

I decided to take a look at the BvS figure, and I'm so pleased to see that so many of the MoS nits were addressed. I've read through so many pages, and am getting close to being caught up. Other than my Reeve Superman, these are my first two DC figures, and I just couldn't be happier. Truly wonderful pieces, and I'm so very glad to have picked them up.

Rant over. Happy to be here.

Congrats on the acquisition and glad you liked BvS and gave MoS a second chance. I grew up with Reeve as well, but I quite like this rendition of Supes. Frankly, I personally find him a lot more interesting and relatable as it relates to today's world. Even though I still love Reeve's portrayal.

Did you watch the UE of BvS, or the theatrical version?
