1/6 Hot Toys BvS: Dawn of Justice - Superman

I'm wanting to get a separate BvS base from one of the other figures also that has a cradle stand to use for Supes. I'm looking at pictures of the Knightmare Batman base and stand and I'm wondering if the stand posts for the other bases are compatible with the Supes base. The posts on the other bases look like they also screw in like the malleable post does that comes with Supes, so I'm wondering if the threads on the other posts are the same size or if the threading on the Supes base is unfortunately too wide.

If it isn't, all you'd need is a separate post from one of the other figures and screw that into the Supes base as opposed to having to buy an entirely new base and stand.

This is what im hoping too. I bet it fits the same but are we gonna have any luck just getting the stand separate from the base lol

Finally got this figure today - I had ordered from Zavvi, but cancelled as it didn't seem i'd ever get the figure. Managed to snag it from a UK seller for 196 quid (inc. postage) which is not too bad.
Anyway - Superman's still in the box, but I was pleased with the packaging - nice and simple shoe-box style... and the figure itself looks wonderful in-hand. The costume is a work of art and the headsculpt has captured Cavill perfectly. Looking forward to Batman now.

What is everyone's capes like? Mine doesn't drape close to the back of his neck like this and you can see the blue suit and zipper if you turn him around. Just wondering if that was a common issue.

im pretty sure most are just like yours. Mine was until i fixed it but ive seen some people say theirs is worse than others out of the box.

Finally made the plunge and pick this gut up on bbts. I was worry about the thigh and the height issue some ppl were talking about. Saw some photo and review and i thought it looks great. Going to look good with the armored bat.

No worries, it is common. Some don't do it, but it seems more often than not, they do. Even the one used in the promo photos did it and the one on display at SDCC I believe did it also. In the Armored Bats thread, some of the promo pictures featured the two figures fighting and the cape on the Supes figure in those pictures did it too.

Out of curiosity, for those individuals who picked up a second Supes, what did you guys do with him? Keep him in the box, make mods, etc.?

I ask because I'm contemplating picking up another Supes figure and putting one of the custom heat vision sculpts on that one and displaying him with Armored Bats and Knightmare Bats (since he used heat vision in both of those scenes), while the figure with the regular stock sculpt will be posed with WW and regular Bats to complete the Trinity.

So those who acquired a second one, what did you guys do with him?

I'm considering getting a second one at some point for a Clark shirt-rip pose. The only problem will be finding a business suit that fits a muscular body, not sure if any exist. Bruce Wayne's suit barely fit onto a Steve Rogers body, so Superman's will be a problem.

I personally don't even think it needs fixing. Not a big deal to me personally. Like you said, it's in the back so it's not really visible and even then, it's not really what I'd call an eyesore. To me at least.

Yeah, my LCS had one out on display last week when I was there, so I'll swing by there again tomorrow and if he's still there, I'll probably snag him. As mentioned, I'll probably have him in a levitating pose with a custom heat vision sculpt to go with Armored and Knightmare Bats, while the other one will just be stock in a static pose with WW and regular Bats.

I haven't gotten a 2nd one yet because of space, but I had plans to display one with the trinity striking a hero/battle pose, and the 2nd in fighting pose with Armored Batman.

Where do you get the heat vision sculpt and how is the quality, like hot toys level?

I've also seen a few listings on eBay for them from HK for $30 (which is probably one of the ones I'll pick up). Not sure if it's the exact same one that jedijim has, but it looks pretty close, if it isn't the same one. Regardless, the likeness on both look to be pretty much on par with the stock HT sculpt.

No, I don't believe so. It's just paint apps.

I know Username has done light up heat vision sculpts though for the MoS Supes sculpt, the Zod sculpt and the Reeve sculpt. Not sure if he's done the BvS sculpt yet.

One sixth kit is the one who got that head produced. He's had it on his site for PO a few weeks after the figure was released in HK. It's in stock on his website and his eBay store

Cool. Do you have a link to it on her site? The costs are usually cheaper for me than her eBay most of the time.
