If they end up going with the recycled MoS sculpt as final, I'll cancel the current PO, see if anyone is making any custom correct sculpts that actually look like the way he did in BvS, then perhaps pick-up this figure again when it's ridiculously discounted because nobody is buying it.

I ordered the 2-pack, plus the Wonder Woman figure. If this outrage(And it IS an outrage) turns out to be true, i will cancel them all. Superman is my fave, and i have the MOS figure already.
It's not Sideshow's fault(Or the fault of any retailer who has ordered a few), but it's them that will be left with product they cannot shift.
Or maybe it's a late april fool's joke.

You could always cancel and get MoS Supes. Beautiful figure that at least would be an accurate representation to its respective film.

Or cancel your current PO, wait until this figure hits ridiculously low prices because nobody is buying it, then get it again.

This really sucks...I should be sleeping now but this crap is actually keeping me up. A part of me is telling me to be patient and wait for in hand pics...the other can't help but nerd rage over this. I wish someone over at HT would tell us something. If they're indeed gonna release this with the MoS sculpt after having apologized to us about it, I'd still cancel, but at least they would've gained my respect.

Agreed. Don't give HT your hard earned money for a BS release. If you want a superman figure, get the MoS one. Because they actually put in effort with that one. And if you truly want superman with that BvS box...well, like silver said, wait for this crap to hit the bargain bin and get it then.

I think I figured out the solution to this problem: they need to include the prototype headsculpt with an LED light-up feature in the box as an additional "heat vision" sculpt. People who liked the sculpt will be happy to have it included, and those who didn't will be so distracted by the MOS head and the pretty lights that they won't give a ****. Problem solved.

Nah, I never intended on buying any of these Superman figures.

Even though I don't care and think the MoS look is superior, this is wrong on Hot Toys' part (if it is indeed a repainted MoS head for the full BvS production release). That means for the past 4 months they were soliciting something completely different. This Superman should have the receding, slicked back widows peak he has in BvS, not the look from MoS. I totally get it. This isn't what they advertised.

I'm guessing it's just a flub someone made behind the scenes. Then again, those are alwats production figures in those coming soon shots so it would be strange for them to pull out the old MoS head and plop it on there.

I honestly think the new sculpt makes him look pinheaded, because it's so squat, and you can tell by comparing it to the MoS sculpt in the second pic. That being said, if they see a problem with it, how about making an effort to ****ing fix it, as opposed to just saying "**** it, just use the old one." Personally, I really like the new sculpt, as far as the likeness goes, and it's jawdropping in JC Hong's paint-up pics, but I wish it fit the damn body as well as the MoS one does.
