Someone on FB says the headsculpt is great but then go on to say they see 70% of Gal Gadot in the sculpt...70%!

A sculpt can still be great and at the same time not resemble who it is intended to be. This is a great sculpt of "someone" but not Gal Gadot......

Likeliness is amazing, I mean just look Wonder Woman thumbnails promotion on top of this site. Premium Format, Prime and Art Print, none of them have strong Gal Gadot likeliness. The only one have better likeliness is WW training armor.

This reminds me a lot of the early Tony Stark sculpts - specifically, the Donut Shop one. From some angles it's really good, but it's just off in some way.

Again, I come back to the concept that this would be more forgiving had we not seen the training armor version. That one is just -that- good. There was plenty of time to adapt that sculpt to this.

I think he means the Mark 4, it comes with sunglasses and a box of donuts to recreate the scene with Nick Fury in IM2.

I think it looks like Gal a lot, only problem is the expression and how it's a pretty blank stare.

Been going through this thread and examining the pics and reviews, and this figure seems prety stellar, actually.
The HS still has problems (I think it's mainly that the face is just too elongated), but from a normal viewing distance, it'll probably look quite good.
I'm very happy to be getting this.

Well I don't think its mainly that but yeah that's one thing I noticed to, like I said before the eyes, nose and mouth look out of proportion, the distance from the eyes to the mouth is far too great.

And I think it really shows in these pics below.

Less forgiving yes, but I would still not be blown away by this. Sometimes it looks like her and sometimes it doesn't (even in the best pictures). The eyes look better but are still not the right shape as Gal has almond shaped eyes similar to batsheva's photoshop edited pic of this sculpt. It looks like they got the eyes right on the training sculpt and the only thing that I would change on that sculpt are the lips as they are too thin. They should be thick like they are on the DCC training one, but that is just a minor nit pick.

There was plenty of time to adapt that sculpt to this.

Well I think they tried to adapt by making the mouth more open and sharper jawline like the Training version has but they made that sculpt too late, hence why it took so long for them to try and make this sculpt look similar.

Haha! It's kind of the opposite to the BvS Superman. Frankly if anyone who bought that Superman figure is complaining about the Wonder Woman sculpt, they should take a look at a picture of Henry Cavill, and see if that changes their opinion.

for me its just the mouth. i dont understand why they keep trying these kind of things.
if you cant do realistic good looking open mouths with visible teeth, then maybe dont do it?
make some prototype tests in your garage
and wait until its good enough.
but dont try it on your 300 dollar product line. just make some nice painted closed lips.
there is no need for sculpture experiments.
why and how would this open mouth with 2 gigantic front teeth improve the figure?
