So why is it not blatantly obvious that BvS is NOT a good film? After all, Walters vs Messi is purely opinion based...

First I don't follow soccer so let's make that clear. But, who is better is still an opinion. But let's try and keep it simple...the diffence Is there are actual items of fact in the opinion who's the better player. Call them measurables. Number of years Pro, salary, mvps, awards, goals, assists.

When you switch over to the film...there are not any of those. Unless you know something I don't. There is no rule book or record book. There are no "definitions" of bad editing. There no numbers you can check. You can't watch BvS and count the words in a set amount of time and compare that to some rule book about pacing. Or editing. There's no way to quantify bad acting. You can't count or compare it in any statistical way.

Editing, good or bad is a subjective measurement. The thing that's used to measure it is a persons own opinion. The same for acting and attractiveness and pace and pretty much anything else involved with music or art or film.

You said the film had bad pacing. but that is your opinion. I think the pacing was fine. We both have opinions. The same for acting and editing and anything else you judge (again, if it's a judgment call it's an opinion. They are the exact same thing) you can't then add up your opinions about the film and call that fact.

Different cars do different things. It's about being successful at what they're supposed to be successful at. So for luxury cars, the most comfortable, the most pleasant to be in. For family cars, the ones with the most space, most child friendly. Track cars, the most enjoyable to drive. That's how you measure them. It's the same kind of thing with films.

And we are not talking about success at all anyway. The film is already successful in that it's meet every goal so far. DC is a business. It's entire point is to make money. They are making money. Hence, they are successful.

If a film is good or bad has **** to do with cars...or facts. The entire idea is an opinion. Good or bad is a word used to describe an OPINION!!!!!!!!! Not a fact. Go back and watch the videos I linked to. It's explains this in terms designed for a 7 year old child. And there's even one that uses a movie as an example. (Hunger games)

Good gosh, you really dont undestand the difference between fact and opinion.
Eventhough an overwhelming people here would probably tell you that The Dark Knight is 1000% better than Batman and Robin, that is still an opinion.
Believe it or not, there's people who dont like The dark Knight and think its also too dark and doesnt like the joker, and actually likes the lighthearted Batman and Robin.

Even thought that's kinda mindblowing...its still an opinion.
