There has been some very interesting and entertaining uses of the word "fact" here recently ...

So let me see if I follow: you're a fan of a company that you think is "greedy slime", and you pay for almost everything they release, even if you think it sucks?

Yes, so I'm calling them out on this DOLL. They could and should have done better. I hope someone at Hot Toys reads these threads. They need to know how thier consumers feel about their products. And yes, I'm new to this forum. Does being a member of SSF require also being a brain washed follower of whatever #$&$ HTS makes? Last time I checked, SSC distributes 1/6 scale items by lots of different companies (for your knowledge).

OK fact : I've been a collector and fan of Hot Toys since Iron Man 2. I've praised and paid for almost everything they've released since then. I'm (saying it again) very disappointed with the WW doll they created. Agree or disagree. That's all.

Mate, no one has a problem with your opinion, regardless if you've bought a lot from Hot Toys or not, your opinion IS valid. No one has a problem with that at all. Everyone has a problem with you being out of line to another poster saying they should get rid of theirs just because you don't like it, the way you went about voicing your opinion was completely wrong.

I sometimes go on threads with figures I don't like and voice my opinion about something I don't like about it, but I'm always mindful not to put other people down or make them feel bad, and I'll try my best not to just sound or go on about negative aspects of something someone else may like.

Again, no one has a problem you don't like it, the problem is that you stated that opinion by being an *** to someone else, and now you're being an *** to other people in defense of it. Just suck it up and admit you went about it the wrong way and be big enough to leave it at that.

Says the guy who proudly boasts that he has paid for almost everything HT has made and released since IM2, even if he thinks it sucks and thinks HT is "greedy slime." :slap :lol

As GP mentioned, you might want to consider reducing your comments to merely saying that you think HT could have done a better job with this figure and enumerate the reasons where you think it falls short, as opposed to including the additional commentary, such as your quote above, that makes you look foolish.

If you would stop being so condescending and just be civil towards other members you'd get along better with your fellow Freaks.

I already posted the board's Code of Conduct for you. I suggest you read it and start following it.

AGAIN, if I hurt anyone's feelings I apologize. I'm not insulting any members here. I'm commenting on the final in hand product. Yes (again) HTS could and should have done a better job with Gadot/WW. We all know they can do it.

Lets get back to the tips, pictures and useful help we get from the forum.

Dang.. i am still waiting for arrival in South East Asia..... :(

Alright man, that's a fine way to say it now. All opinions are welcome. You're right the likeness could have been better, I don't think anyone will disagree with you on that. Welcome to the boards, I think we all look forward to interesting discussion and well stated opposing viewpoints. It's part of the fun of owning these dollies lol

There you go, that's a start without including the additional foolish commentary. We all knew you could do it.

I personally think overall, it's a good figure. Sculpt could be better, but I personally give it a solid 8/10, maybe 7.5. The figure itself though feels very sturdy and the joints are nice and tight. Great detail in the sword and the shield, though I wish they were die-cast; at least the sword. I also think the little flap that holds her lasso to her belt probably should fasten with a snap (the same way her harness fastens together) so it could be taken off and put back on with better ease. I feel the little hole in the fabric simply sliding over the pin protruding out from her belt can easily potentially rip if one keeps sliding it on and off to either take out or put back on the lasso.

Care to share with the rest of us how you feel HT should have overall done a better job with this figure? As opposed to just repeating over and over that it sucks in your opinion?

Agreed lol.

Several members here, myself included, think that the WW JL portrait is a lot better than the portrait on this figure.

But I still like this WW portrait and I like what I've seen so far from in hand pictures from Freaks like SilverStar, Guyver and others. I look forward to getting my figure on Tuesday.

I've said it here and in the other 1/6 WW threads; I'll be picking up a parted out WW JL sculpt at some point.

I agree with all your comments. However awesome the seamless body is, I still worry about "skin damage" and breaks from posing. And since I love HTS so much, and have paid so much for them, I expect greatness with the head sculpts. That's what I'm having a hard time accepting. Why would HTS release a weak HS of an actor/character that is this important? It just doesn't make any sense to me.

Yeah me to. If I've been too harsh again I truly apologize. I am new to this forum so I'm still getting used to the manner in which people comment. I hope and pray HTS will learn from this release and provide a better version with JL. Gal Gadot is incredibly beautiful. Is her face that hard to sculpt?

:wink1: :lol

Yep, the sculpt could indeed be better. Like DS said, the JL figure looks to have a better portrait and many feel the same way. However, as I mentioned, I don't think this sculpt is horrible by any means. Solid 8/10, but I think the proto for TA WW is a 9.5/10. So if JL WW is essentially has this sculpt with TA likeness, then that'll be the better one.

I don't think there's much you can do about the seamless body. You can try and mitigate the creasing ("skin damage") as much as possible, but there's always going to be risks when doing extreme posing. I do feel that in order for these to be highly detailed, you do have to sacrifice some things and there's going to be trade offs. On a figure such as this, I'd personally rather have a seamless body and be somewhat limited to the poses I can do, as opposed to having exposed joints that look unsightly in my opinion and take away from the realism of the figure, just so I can do dynamic posing. I don't think the JL figure will be any exception body wise.

So you either have two options: you can either sell this figure off and wait and see what the JL figure brings, or simply pick up a parted out JL sculpt to put on this figure if the JL sculpt bears a better likeness. I fully anticipate it will, so like DS, I also plan on potentially picking up a parted JL sculpt to put on this figure since this and the TA WW will likely be my only WW figures for awhile. Therefore, I want to have the best portrait possible.

For the record, I also plan on potentially picking up a parted out JL Superman body/suit and putting the BvS sculpt on that. From what I've seen, the JL figure body/suit looks more accurate even to BvS than the BvS figure suit does.

No worries, bro, it's all good. :duff

IMO Prime 1 Studio NAILED Gal's likeness in their statue.

I don't mind too much, I don't think the likeness is that far off for it to be a problem for me. I don't think it's the sculpt as much as it's the painting. But until the JL WW drops in over a years time, it's what we have - I don't think we'll be getting a WW solo film version, unfortunately, at least not until this has fully shipped out.
