Really want to see how this turns out. If it hasn't improved much from the prototype they'll surely nail the likeness for the WW solo or JL.

I dunno mate, it took them about 3 attempts to get Black Widow looking like Scarlett.

TWS was ScarJo to me. That got her likeness pretty well.

I quite like TWS Widow figure and sculpt likeness also. AoU Widow was a regression in terms of sculpt likeness.

DC Direct just announced a series of statues for the upcoming Wonder Woman movie and they nailed the likeness.
This really puts Hot toys to shame.

If only we could have that face on the Hot Toys figure. It's so apparent with this to compare to that Hot Toys completely missed the mark on Gal's likeness.

Heck, even if all the change is to give her a closed-mouth look I'd be happy. The open mouth gives her a perpetual surprised/frightened look.

I like the HT sculpt as a whole, but I think what's slightly throwing it off for me is the eyes seem a bit too wide and round. The sculpt would look near perfect to me if they just tweak the eye area a bit to make them not as round and wide and ever so slightly a bit more slanted, along with slanting the eyebrows a bit more.

As I've stated multiple times before, this would be the consummate expression for me personally for the sculpt of this figure:



The mouth on the sculpt I think is fine, as her mouth seems to be slightly open in that screen grab. It's just the eye area that could use some altering.

That's the expression they should have used, fierce, ready for battle. In the movie she was far more sure of herself than either Batman or Superman yet this sculpt makes her look so tame. Hopefully Hot Toys have already fixed it and surprise us when the figure is finally released. If not i'll for the next version.

She was delayed to December just like Black Widow and now Widow is showing up in HK. So I imagine we'll see WW very soon.

I'm still guessing some time this month in HK. I know it's being generously optimistic, but I do think she'll be in the States before Christmas.
