I am with you man I want to finish out my BVS collections, I hope this thing gets released next month and we can see it before the end of the year.

I am suspect they will have a new one for the new movie maybe they will include the fur coat we saw that she had in the trailers

Well SS updated their shipping on the advice from Hot Toys to Dec....so I'm hoping this will be released by the end of the month

DC Direct just announced a series of statues for the upcoming Wonder Woman movie and they nailed the likeness.
This really puts Hot toys to shame.

I just can't get over how good this head sculpt looks...
I'm really thinking of buying the statue to try and use the head sculpt on the Hot Toys figure.

If I'm not mistaken, they're typically cold cast porcelain. All of my recent DCC statues have been made that way

I hope Hot toys upgrade the WW scupt, I see more likeness on that statue.

It's not. Trying to saw off the head from the statue would result in an exuberant amount of dust. I tried using the slave Leia Sculpt from my mini bust years ago and the garage was covered in dust after the huge cloud of smoke settled.

Besides, I checked the price, and paying over 100 bucks just to saw off the head doesn't seem quite the right thing to do...
Let's just hope HT re-sculpt this one.

With you on that one. Seems so impractical and almost a waste of money.

Agreed. You'd basically be paying $100+ for a sculpt.

I think $100+ is what custom sculpts go for on a minimum, Im surprised there isnt a listing for a custom already, I guess everyone is holding their breath to see what really comes out, but she doesnt show sign of improving, everyone thinks the sculpt isnt great and the body looks like its going to be substandard to phicen quality. I really hope Im wrong and we get a great figure, if not Id rather wait for the next version

I don't see the problem here. I like the suit, so I'll get this, whether the head is good or bad. And if it's bad, well, they'll make another one for JL, so then, you just have to buy a loose one, or the inevitable KO, or the probable custom to upgrade...

Last time I checked, custom head sculpts were less than $100. Check OneSixthKit/eBay.

Their Jessica Jones headsculpt is less than $100 and much better likeness than most other expensive customs I have seen.

I think the sculpt could use improving, but I also don't think it's an utter atrocity. As I've mentioned before, I think it's just the eye area that needs some tweaking. If we get what was on display at SDCC, I'd personally be happy with that.

Plus, as was mentioned, you could simply swap the sculpt out for a future one that's potentially better.

Based on the quality of the BvS figures thus far, I'm more optimistic about this figure than pessimistic. I don't think it's going to be any worse than what was shown at SDCC and as I said, I personally liked that.

Yup, my plan as well. Even if they don't improve the sculpt it'll still be a perfectly good placeholder until either a better HT sculpt comes along or a great custom head is made by someone (and judging by the talent on here it's likely the custom would be even better anyway).

Do you guys think the arms could be a problem? I've heard nothing but bad things happening to the seamless arms.
