Okay, so WW (2nd batch) is here, so, first impressions out of the box:

THE GOOD:

The sculpt of the body is great but a bit unsightly in the back (maybe it's just mine)
The hs is MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN HAND! So much so that I'm going to cancel my slot in the custom hs section.
Outfit is awesome too.

THE BAD:

I'm never going to articulate this. I don't feel it, at all. Those who do, well, you are brave lads!

THE UGLY:

Damn that sword! Did HT take a page off of Hasbro's book? One of the worst items I've ever seen on a high end figure.

CONCLUSION: 6 -7/10

Far from the best HT, far from the worst. Worth to get to complete the trinity (I had to!)or if you loved the movie (haven't seen it yet). If not, pass your way and save your bucks!

Sounds good regarding the sculpt looking better in hand. Articulation is no surprise, museum pose only when I finally get mine. A little surprised on the sword, looked decent in review videos. Shame HT didn't make that die cast. How's the shield look in hand?

The sword looks okay per se, but it looks really cheap, light and really not like something I would expect from HT. If I'd found that in a part bin, I would have really said Hasbro. I you look on the sides, you can see mold lines and well, I suppose that once you put it in the hands, it looks okay, but really the only thing that looks out of hand in the whole fig. ACi, Asmus or even Star Ace make much better swords...

Can you upload few pics of the HS and sword? I'm still unsure if I want to complete the trinity or not.

Right on cue. :lol

Your review though sounds pretty much exactly like I expect from and am going to do with my figure. I expect this to look fantastic in hand, but I'm not going to do much articulating with it at all. And while not too big of a deal to me, I really wish they would have made both the sword and shield die-cast. The minute someone like OSK offers a die-cast shield and sword set, I'm getting it. If not, no biggie.

I replace my Hot Toys bodies for Phicen bodies under specific circumstances and for specific reasons only. 1) Phicens are (despite the lint and dust they attract) truly the best seamless 1/6 scale body to date. As long as you read the instructions and handle it carefully, the articulation is a collector's dream come true. 2) The Hot Toys figure can't be costume specific. For example, I turned Wolverine and Scarlet Witch into HTS/Phicen hybrids because I was able to recreate the costumes easily on the Phicen body. Superman is a HTS figure I would never recreate with a Phicen because of the costume. 3) THE SKIN TONE MUST MATCH!!!! I know it seems like a lot of extra work but it's worth it because I get to put the original stock body back in the box and keep it new while I have fun with said figure. If youve never done this try it. The question now of course is: Will a Phicen body work for our Wonder Woman?!?!

Wow that phicen body is ridiculous. The waist is about as thick as one of her thighs. :lol
The body HT gave her is much better.

I'll take the more realistic proportions of the HT body, please. But as proof of concept, it's cool. I don't think a totally seamless body is necessary though.

Ht knows how to make realistic bodies- why people are switching is beyond me.......
