This is as modern as its going to get in this movie...

Is Sam Jackson slated to appear in this one? Does Nick Fury appear at the end? Would be a cool way to end it with Cap coming too and Fury welcoming him to the 21st century.

I was totally geeked out with both the Cap and Thor Trailers. The Superbowl Thor trailer looked more appealing than the first one. The Captain america trailer left me wanting more, I hate teaser, want a full trailer. :(

The Cap trailer was the best, the swinging scene was the coolest for me.

I agree that would have been awesome. John Slattery is amazing. Really good actor.

Maybe even with Stark and Black Widow there too

I've heard a little birdy say that both Stark and Fury will be there to welcome Captain America into the Avengers in the end of TFA.

Also the reason they got a different actor is because this Howard Stark is a lot younger.

Why is there so much post on the movie in a Hot Toys thread, there is already a Cap thread in the movies thread to talk about the movie. I keep looking here thinking Hot Toys showed a prototype.

Because the figure is based on the movie and they havent shown any pics of the figure yet...

Slattery is 49, the character was supposed to be the same age during the 1974 Stark Expo where Tony is 10. Howard Stark theoretically be around 20 during this whole thing, a young upstart and so even digitally deaging Slattery would look silly to go that young.

Right, but they could use him at the end when they flash forward (to the present)...

How? He is unfrozen in modern times meaning theoretically 2011. Howard Stark died shortly after his graduated MIT at age 17. Tony has been in control of Stark Industries in the film continuity timeline since he was 21.

This makes perfect sense.
Afterall, we already saw Stark at the end of The Incredible Hulk. We could expect something similar at the end of Thor as well.

The producers/writers were thinking ahead. They had it all planned out for the Avengers. :clap

Woah, Howard looked much older than 17 in the Iron Man 2 movie. Did I miss something?

That's not what Jon Favreu said in a recent pissy mood interview, he said that Marvel is just winging it, they have no clue in what the ____ they're doing :horror

Then a week later he kind of retracted his statement saying that he has full confidence in what Marvel is doing :lol

:dunno
