I don't think we should be comparing the Neca figure to Hot Toys, both look great though, for collectibles in this day and age, these are well over par offerings.

I wouldn't want a figure of Hamlin, his hair looks crap..he looks soft/a wuss but, on the flip side i wouldn't mind a old school Calibos.

Longer hair or shaved head would've looked better.

I doubt that very much.

YEs it is.. THe new one is literally a joke. I really hate movie's that have to sit there and explain every detail of the film because they believe we are too stupid to figure it out on our own. This clash does that in every scene. The changes to the film were ridiculous. I can understand some changes, but almost 90% of it was changed for the worse. I can go on and on but this movie is the biggest let-down since Superman Returns..

Agree. I guess I'm a little numb to how "pretty boy" Hamlin is in the movie from loving it for so many years.
Calibos c.1981>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Calibos c.2010

Calibo's was an afterthought in the new remake. What a joke of a character.

Regardless of what I thought of the movie, I love Ancient Greek Mythology and military history so I would've bought this in a heart beat if it looked more like an Ancient Greek soldier. However, I absolutely hate the look of Perseus from the new movie. The armor looks way too modern, like it belongs in a futuristic Sci-Fi movie, and the shaved head is an epic FAIL.

It might be salvageable replacing the head with something else, and the armor cuirass with the cuirass from the Dragon Alexander the Great figure but there's no guarantee that it'd fit Perseus' True Type. Also I'd hate to buy a $130 figure and feel the need to fix it.

I'll have to pass on this one.

Call the movie something else if you don't want it compared to the original.

I guess you would rather it be like the reboot of Psycho.

I just liked the movie for what is was, not for what I thought it should be. I'm just glad they didn't have that damn bird flapping around.

Ultimately, this movie being liked depends on a few things. If you did not see it in 3D, if you did not see the original, and if you like having boring acting and shaky camera movements during battles blurring everything. Ultimately the scorpion fight was an epic fail that lasted way too long. The medusa fight if anything should have been in the dark and perhaps longer. The Djin not being turned to stone did not make any sense since the Gorgon is supposed to turn everything alive into stone. That whole scene was ridiculous. Pegasus being tame already was lame. The first original film had Perseus tame the wild beast that has never been ridden before. I can understand why so many of you hate Bubo. However part of the charm of the original was how Bubo saved the day in the end. This movie felt rushed and the journey to quick on foot for its own good.

If you think that Sam Terribleton cannot act his way out of a paper bag, and his lack of ability to do anything but a distracting Australian accent is nothing more than terrible
*raises hand* lol

Agreed... I would kill for a 1/6 Calibos from the original film.

The new one was terrible though and the added dimension to his character was all kinds of weak.

So I was a non-3d viewer. From what I'm reading that was a good thing?

And yeah, Joseph, I agree. As a kid I remember Calibos being as cool a villain as Vader or Zod. This modern version was just silly.

The movie was decent. It wasn't great nor was it horrible but quite forgettable IMO.

HT releases always seem to amaze me therefore, I wonder if Perseus will be the sole figure from the film or they will make others? IMO the film wasn't memorable in terms of story or characters and I can easily see passing on HT offerings.

I wanted to be into the line... but really didn't like the portrayal of Perseus enough to get the figure.

I felt the same. I don't need a personal tie to a character to warrant a purchase, heck it usually involves thinking the character protrayed was cool etc. I didn't even get that fuzzy feeling from anyone in the movie thus an easy pass.
