Re: Speculation : Hot Toys Disney+ Figures "The Mandalorian" + "Cassian" + "Kenobi"

Actually, it's more horns than lekku's length for me. At its current state, the top of the head looking flat, it looks like a pharoah's headdressing. Horns must be more prominent.

Re: Speculation : Hot Toys Disney+ Figures "The Mandalorian" + "Cassian" + "Kenobi"

We've had possibly the best piece of Star Wars since ESB and all anyone wants to talk about is the length of Ahsoka's lekku :rotfl Star Wars fans eh, you can't beat them.

Visuals is an important aspect of SW. Do you want to watch Hamlet with silly looking puppets?

Are there puppets in Hamlet? Even if there were I'm not sure it would be my main topic of discussion for 3 days solid. Yes, I agree visuals are important in Star Wars, and they were stunning for the most part in this episode.

Re: Speculation : Hot Toys Disney+ Figures "The Mandalorian" + "Cassian" + "Kenobi"

You got the idea with puppets. Rest is time wasting.
PS. I watched the episode yesterday night. So, it's not a matter of 3 days for me.

The original comment wasn?t specifically to you and was just an observation. I think it?s amusing how focused we all become on the tiny little details, something of which I?m guilty myself. If ESB were released today we?d all be talking about how Yoda is the wrong shade of green or something.

Btw hope you enjoyed the episode, it was a very special one.

Re: Speculation : Hot Toys Disney+ Figures "The Mandalorian" + "Cassian" + "Kenobi"

Lot of assumptions based around shaak ti and such as well. Yeah we saw them longer in rebels as well, but who knows maybe the shrink a bit for some as you get older. Just because we've seen one togruta lekku grow one way doesn't mean its that way for all of them.

Whole thing seems silly and far from my first concern with a live action Ahsoka. She nailed the role and the episode was awesome.

Seen way more than one, though. There's a whole arc in The Clone Wars full of adult Togruta that have extremely long Lekku.

Continuity issues aside, I don?t mind the short lekku at all. Rosario killed it imo.

Re: Speculation : Hot Toys Disney+ Figures "The Mandalorian" + "Cassian" + "Kenobi"

See, but here is the thing: let's say the lekku had really been made that long.

We would instantly have a bunch of people complaining that they were way too long. Or, conversely that they were still not long enough, as Ahsoka is x years old and it is a known fact that lekku grow 2 inches a year, no more no less so her current age means they HAVE TO be x inches long.

All this seems like a super-minor hill to die on, but hey.

You're complaining about people complaining, which is also something that happens every single time one of these topics come up. This isn't at all new, how many threads and websites, over how many decades, are devoted entirely to people arguing over the differences in Fett or Stormtrooper helmets? Star Wars has been about the visuals since day one. And to be honest without the visuals, what else has this show really got going for it? It doesn't exactly have a lot of meat to it.

I prefer them shorter.

Makes me think Ahsoka more and less Shaak-Ti.

... but was what I said wrong, though? Its -not- wrong. Because I have [so far] three FB groups completely muted over people complaining about the lekku. I could not care less about them [lekku] than I do now; will check back with the groups after a new episode airs and people have something new to flip out over.

They may stay muted though, since I find all the grandstanding about how Tano [who just completed a ONE-OFF appearance] is gonna show back up with Thrawn and Ezra Bridger in tow in the season finale and throw Mando and his small green child completely out of his own show, and take it over so it can be Live-Action Rebels, to be SUPER. ANNOYING. [Ezra Bridger especially: :vomit emoji]

So yeah, I'm a little testy. But if the length of some lekku is people's -biggest- complaint about this episode, they should be glad. No gratitude detected though. Not even a little bit, its all arguing about the length of the lekku, or the stripes or god knows what.

EDIT: the show's plot "doesn't have a lot of meat" in it? What is this, an adaptation of Tolstoy's War and Peace? Its Star Wars. We're doing super good to get as good as we are getting now.

100% agree with this. Ezra Bridger was, for me, THE WORST part of Rebels. Idk what his fanbase is like, but I just can't get on board with him. The character already annoyed me, then him becoming a Jedi made him even more annoying. Maybe he could be better/corrected as a live action version of himself but that will be a hard sell for me.

Did not enjoy much at first (I have just revisited the finale of TCW). On second watch, I enjoyed more.

Re: Speculation : Hot Toys Disney+ Figures "The Mandalorian" + "Cassian" + "Kenobi"

Yep. She was awesome. It was a special episode because of her.

Yes, I wonder what the next steps for Ahsoka will be. Surely she'll have to be involved with any Darksaber action. Although theoretically Din could take him on with the Beskar spear himself.

So regarding skills, and why he ended up with a spear. Anyone remember Pedro Pascals fight in Game of Thrones ????

Re: Speculation : Hot Toys Disney+ Figures "The Mandalorian" + "Cassian" + "Kenobi"

BTW, is it me or did you realize that turn on sound of Ahsoka's sabers was different than color sabers?

No not just you. They made it really loud. I recall on some ILM behind the scenes documentary for Rogue One they did the same for Vaders lightsaber in that hall scene at the end. Makes a more impressive "entrance".

What got me though was the sound of the sabers when moving. They didn't have that hum that the movie ones had.

They've used a different sound. Maybe because they're white ??
