Listen old people.... wherever you are.... Star Wars is bigger than the OT. It would to extremely stupid for these companies to ignore everything else and only focus on OT. Thankfully Hot Toys is not run by morons. They know their business.

I sold off my first order troopers from TFA because of space issues and got less than $100 for them on eBay and felt lucky doing so. While I do think the OT will more often than not be a bigger seller, I also think that Hot Toys could put out a Poe Dameron figure instead of these troopers from TROS. Maybe they're waiting for some spoilery figures after the movie hits. Oh, I also consider myself old, which is perhaps why I generally act in a respectful manner when dealing with people in person AND online. Have a nice day.

Why do you have to be an old person to enjoy the original trilogy? Quality is timeless. My 9 year old niece loves the original trilogy.

Of course SW is bigger than the OT but the OT is and always will be where the most money will be made by any company with a licensing deal. The restrictions placed on them on what they can make and when is the only reason the OT is not even more prominent.

You're right, they must love having FO Troopers still brand new in stock at a dozen online retailers and then people dumping used ones for nothing on eBay.

I love the OT too. I also love the new movies and want them to make more. What I don't like are the delusional old people who think the OT should be the only movies supported. Those OT snobs are annoying and don't deserve respect when they keep voicing their narrow minded point of view.

I am sure the reason the first order troopers are still around is because hot toys over produced them. Hot Toys doesn't release their edition sizes so there will not be a way to prove that but once they are gone from retail they will go up in price. The point is hot toys knows their business. I bunch of delusional snobs trying to bully hot toys into not supporting the new movies are jerks who really don't deserve any respect. They openly disrespect anyone who wants to discuss any of the new SW figures in the respective threads by spreading their negative garbage. Show others respect if you want respect in return.

Not really surprising that sites like Popcultcha still have so many, since people have been able to find them so much cheaper on ebay for quite awhile now. Even their big discounts can't come close to those prices.

Not to sidetrack this thread even further, but...

I'm sure over-production of the FO Troopers is a given but the fact that people are dumping them on ebay (and our own Freaks "For Sale" section) for considerably less than they paid for them, speaks volumes.

Compare that to any of the OT Troopers - two separate releases of the initial 2-pack, a single figure release, space trooper and sand trooper. Try finding any of those for original retail. (not even bringing up the Rogue One troopers or the crazy painted versions...)

Oh, and the recent releases of their latest OT Trooper version in both regular and deluxe.

I don't think its only those darn old fogey OT snobs selling them for a loss.

By the way, I really like the FO Tie Fighter pilot and don't plan on ever selling it but I've got a Jakku trooper that I wish would go up in value so I can throw it on ebay without taking a big hit...

The articulation problem of the ST troopers didn't help it. Also, the OT trooper has better materials - pleather and rubber vs fabric.

Just for your general info Hot Toys don't do "edition sizes". It all comes back to pre-orders. In this case stores pre-ordered way more thinking they would sell a heap of them with the first Star Wars in many years. Those figures still trying to be sold online aren't being sold by Hot Toys.

I'm currently re-watching Narcos season3 on Netflix and just accidentally discovered a very fanscinating thing. The line "Yeah..good" of The Mandalorian himself was exactly used by the character agent Pena/Pedro Pascal .
