Thanks guys. Long story, but I got a few original boards about 15 years ago as a thank you gift. This one, a snowspeeder cockpit one with Luke and a star destroyer image. This is my favorite though. It's probably worth a bit now!

Can you provide us with high res scans of that awesome artifact of pop culture history :clap:yess::hi5:

Not sure i'm allowed do that mate. It could be used to make fakes. Sorry..:(

Fantastic, Rorywan! I'm so jealous!

As far as this weather vane debate, I LOVE it! In fact, I am skipping Luke, but may just get the vane by itself through TA!

Coolest collectible I've ever seen anyone own on this board. Congrats man.

Yeah, I agree about the rubber concerns. There's also the fact that Luke has more bang for your buck.

However, I still think as a stand alone figure, gimmicks and extras aside, Batman is the better figure here. In looks and in accuracy.

I really want to like this Luke, but there's something off about it. The regular head is a lot better looking then it was before but I think the Bespin Fatigues need a little work. Mainly the collar, the color (it could be a little more "worn" couldn't it? Why not have it be the same tone as the battle damaged one?) and a tighter fit overall. There's just something keeping it back from being the perfect Bespin Luke figure.

I don't know. If it looks better once people get these in hand, I'll probably get one and sell off all the junk I don't want.

You know these two figures actually make for pretty awesome "bookends" to a 1980's themed display. Two great icons, one from the first year of the decade, one from the last.

This figure release is really poorly handled. While I understand they want to sell both figures, forcing you to get them both is ridiculous. I would love to have one Luke figure for half this price, but paying $300 for two figures that are 90% the same is pretty silly. At least with Bruce Lee it was not only significantly cheaper even with the exclusive, but that was two completely different outfits.

As for the antenna, I am sure it will make for an awesome display but finding the room for it ends up making it mostly a novelty. Then again, almost every Hot Toys DX release is an overpriced novelty that could do without all the gimmicks, especially PERS, which always makes the sculpt look worse.

I'd like to see what the normal sculpt looks like with the battle damaged hair (if possible). If it looks good, I'd pop that on the clean outfit, weather it slightly and call it a day. If I remember correctly, that's how he spends a majority of the Vader duel (clean face, matted hair, slightly weathered-intact clothing).

Was thinking the same thing, Dane.
