I'm not sure about SSC but other etailers make you pay upfront on pre orders if you use paypal...

Pretty sure you can't pay with PayPal on pre-orders, you have to use the credit card on file.

I think SSC does except pre-payment if it is in the form of a money order. I could be wrong though.
