Go back over to the DC thread I dare you.
I never had such experience canceling with NRD
Its stupid..with the sneaky tactics used lately with proto's being far superior to the real product..they should not charge NRD at all..being that they gauge the product run number based on pre order numbers...I have stopped pre ordering from them all together after the Boba Fett debacle. Add the ridiculous asking prices for these and it just doesnt make sense to pre order.

There also seems to be a fundamental misunderstanding of what prototypes are.
In many fields, the word "prototype" denotes an early test version, to be considerably improved upon with the final release.
But with toys, the prototype is typically a one of a kind, hand made version of what the company "intends" the final production product to be.
Toy prototypes are typically cast from the original sculpt by hand, then painted by hand by one of the company's best artists, and any outfits or clothing are stitched by hand as well.
All of this is done as a guide for the company to then reverse engineer into an replicated production line process.
I've just noticed quite a few posts complaining how the various final products from Hot Toys aren't better than the prototype.
This certainly doesn't excuse a piss poor release, but the idea of actually getting a production piece that is identical to the prototype is almost unrealistic in a mass production run. But if we are lucky, and a company does their job, we should get something awfully damn close.
^
I'm betting it'll be fine in the end..
