you saved "almost" $40? you probably could have just sold the vader head for almost $50 if not more.. did you lose your none refundable deposit when you cancelled? why did you cancel in the first place if you don't mind me asking?

It should be noted that it is illegal to charge someone for something and not ship that item within 30 days.

I would just chalk this up to a misprint/misstatement in the newsletter. If the exclusive wasn't shipping until later, we would not be charged until then. It would cause too many problems for Sideshow, and that's why they don't charge until roughly 72 hours before it's scheduled to ship.

The Vader head is definitely worth it to me to pay full retail (a thing I generally hate) and shipping. To me it's an awesome accessory and one I'd easily buy on my own if it weren't already part of the set.

Not to mention at least by buying direct I can still get a bit ($15 worth) back in RP

It's the whole reason why companies like Sideshow do not charge you for the full amount when you place the initial order. Trust me, they would love to charge you and then hold on to that money for the 6-9 months or whatever and earn interest on it. That's why retailers push video game pre-sales so hard. They earn a **** ton of interest on all those deposits in the months leading up to the actual release.
