Well, can we comparison shop with other Hot Toys DX figures to create a guesstimate? Lesse, Luke comes with two headsculpts, multiples hands and a stump, the tourniquet thingie, lightsaber, stand, multiple costume pieces, and a giant-a$$ antenna. Any other HT DX come close to that? Jack Sparrow, maybe? And he's at $240 through SS. I don't think $250 for Luke is off the mark.

Your missing a couple big factors. One I'd LFL is the most expensive license by far. Proof look at Indy price. $250 and that's only one head sculpt. Also that will factor in that sideshow gets a piece of the pie, hasbro gets a piece of the pie and that LFL gets more $ for SW then anything else. So add those , add another head price. That won't equal $250.

Good lord, I walk away from these forums for a few months, and come back to find Hot Toys doing 1/6 Star Wars stuff!

It's almost too good (or bad, depending on how you look at it) to be true. The apocalypse must be upon us.

I can see this at $275 PLUS - SW license and all. A couple years ago you could get TWO HT figures for that price!

I am predicting a price of $349.99 on this because that weather vain is huge, there are two separate outfits and headsculpts plus it is Star Wars. I am hoping to score another pair of boots and holster in order to display both outfits.

Honestly I predict that even if its over $300, the consumer market for Star Wars is massive. Maybe even the biggest of any franchise in history. These wont have any problem selling due to that and that this will be the most realistic and accurate Luke figure to date.

i don't know. SW is an odd market. there are people who can afford this, but the question is, what is the price threshold for the people that want it?

Star Wars fans will never cease to surprise people as to how deep their fandom goes.
A great example is that my 70 year old grandmother, that has been a huge SW fan since she saw the movie in theatres on opening day 1977...will be pre-ordering this figure. And she said price will be no issue.

Haha. Yeah she's a pretty cool grandma. She's actually helped me fund a lot of my Hot Toys collection before I had a job. I love her. Its going to be weird saying that my Grandma owns a Hot Toys figure. :lol
