"Older crap" always looks poor compared to today's standards don't they?

Compare HT's figures with EB's at the same time EB's Bruce Lee figures were released.Quality has changed over the years and i remember at one point when EB released their first figure of GOD which looks pretty dumb compared to what we see today,but that figure really impressed me compared to what HT released at the time.

That's true, at one point ETB figures were indeed ahead of HT is every department. Funny how things turned out today.

That said, I think the normal sculpt is perfect and bears a near perfect likeness of Bruce

I agree the likeness of the last Enterbay sculpts is better than this one. But it is close enough for me and I would have sold it immediately.

But when you mix sculpt, paint, extras, and value, the Hot Toys is a definite winner

Oh, forgot to mention, the 04 body is super solid build and Bruce is about same height as Medicom Boba Fett. (may be 3mm taller)

Well HT always had a wider selection of licenses which EB never stood a chance against HT.
HT catched up quickly with their quality and today way ahead of EB.Things with EB got slow,little interesting licenses and the quality issues with the final product lately have kinda made their reputation weaker,a shame really as they had Arnie and now YJ Park,2 of many great artists out there.
I think it's only a matter of time before YJ joins HT too.

Cause they didn't have Yulli

I like the sculpt but its not her best work. I still think they should've had Arnie do BL and Yulli make Superman. but I guess thats why he joined HT, for different licenses ( and money )

If you don't like the sculpt I'd still get it, ETD is how everyone recognizes Bruce and you get so much in one set. You can always swap out the head later when a better one is made.

Does anyone know if the extra body will be available or just a sideshow ex. only?

As far as I know, it's a Sideshow EX only. I believe the extra body is/was available as a separate purchase in Hong Kong, though.

Yeah and trimmed down the thighs which was a nasty flaw with the body in the proto pics,you can see it in the sneaking suit pic.

I will get the smiling Bruce and wait for the eventual HT FOF instead. To Westerners, ETD will be the movie that you all remember him by. To the Chinese, Fist of Fury is THE BL movie.

That movie really resonates with me because I am Chinese and I am staying in a country that was under British colonization at one point and then the Japanese during WW2. Of course I wasn't born yet but hearing stories from those who survived the Japanese atrocity (daily beheading, dead camps, raped, mutilation...) makes me wish they have a Bruce Lee back then to fight for them.

Despite being a British colony, they ran away the moment the Japanese started taking over the country state by state. They only came back after Japanese surrendered and act like they liberated us.

I agree Yulli should be doing more sculpt. Her output is really low recently. Wondered why is that.

They often look wonky and off-center in-hand. I would have no issue with the PERS so long as it looked as good as painted eyes. With the Batman and Joker, this hasn't been the case with my figures.

I believe YJ already have a stake long before Arnie left. I mean YJ is known in this circle as the 'hands of god'. Makes sense to keep him there.
